Christopher Velez was broken.
Broken-hearted.
The love of his life was gone, and he was the one who drove her away.
He knew what he said hurt her the moment the words left his lips, filled with venom and resentment. Just like he knew none of them were true. It wasn't her fault that her brother couldn't except them, but it was Zabdiel's. He didn't want her to leave, he never wanted her to leave. Hell, he hated it when she simply left his side. There wasn't a single second of any day since she'd moved to Ecuador that he didn't want her right beside him. Even when they argued all the time during La Banda, he still harbored feelings for her that had lied dormant for years.
Christopher wanted nothing more than to redo the night Zoe left. He never would've snapped at her, but instead, he would've held her close to him. There wasn't a single fiber in his body that didn't regret what he'd done. He wasn't mad at her in the first place, but with Zabdiel and himself. Speaking of Zabdiel, he'd been mopey since his little sister ran away a few weeks ago. But even his sorrow and regret couldn't begin to compare to Christopher's. The Ecuadorian only got out of bed to do the absolute necessities. Unfortunately, today's interview after the final show of the tour last night was vital.
"Chris? She asked you a question, man."
Richard smacked his shoulder a little harder than necessary, nodding to the interviewer across from them. The fake blonde had been trying mercilessly to flirt with Christopher for the entire twenty minutes they'd been there. "I asked if you were alright? You've been awfully quiet," She batted her fake eyelashes at him, caked with black mascara. Christopher felt a small pang through his chest over the blatantly innocent question, eyes sunken in and dark underneath as he finally looked up. "Can we get you something?"
"What I need is halfway across the country," The words left his dry cracked lips before he could stop them. All four boys looked at him, Zabdiel feeling a small twinge of guilt when his friend sniffed. "No, um, I'm not okay. But, thank you for asking anyway." He coughed, trying to hide his true and obvious emotions. Christopher adjusted his hat so that his bangs fell to cover his eyes, Richard sneakily squeezing his shoulder. The interviewer closed her jaw, trying desperately to continue with her questioning.
"Okay, next question."

"What was it that you wanted to show us, Edith?"
Erick and Joel sat in the later's hotel room, their girlfriends chatting in the corner. "The photos came today," Edith produced a package from her purse, walking over to the bed so that everyone could see. "I hope it's a girl," Nobody had noticed the figure's approaching from behind them, so they had yet to stop talking about the ultrasound pictures spread out across the Queen bed. "She's gonna be such a great mom," Everyone murmured their agreement, the two people in the doorway stepping forward into the room.
"Who's going to be a good mom?" Their bodies sat completely frozen at the sound of Zabdiel's voice. He came into their view with a small smile, confused by the pure horror on their collective faces. "Guys, who's pregnant?" His smile slowly came to fall from his lips, plucking a picture out of Joel's hands before anyone could stop him. Zabdiel scanned the photo until his eyes latched onto a crucial piece of evidence in the top right corner. Zobeida. "Is- is my sister pregnant?" Erick made eye contact with his friend, everyone staying silent. "Somebody better answer me right now," Zabdiel growled, unamused by the lack of response.
"Yes," Four sets of eyes landed on Erick, three jaws dropped at the fact he admitted it. "What? He saw the photos, he already knows." He snapped, nodding for them to turn their attention back to Zabdiel. "Yeah, Zabdiel. Your sister is pregnant, only she's twenty hours away by plane because you can't get over yourself." Erick stood up from the bed, the rage he'd kept hidden for weeks finally managing to come out. For several seconds, everyone thought Zabdiel was going to deck Erick. But, he shocked them all to their core.
"You're right," Zabdiel admitted, moving from the room at a speedwalk. They each followed him out into the hallway of the penthouse suite, eyes widening when they realized he was heading straight for Christopher's room. He burst inside without warning, Christopher sitting up in bed at the sudden outburst. "We need to talk, Chris." Zabdiel took in his friends' disheveled state, filling him with more guilt.
"Zabdiel, I'm not in the mood to be yelled-"
"Zoe's pregnant,"
It was as if Christopher had been shot with the freeze ray off of Despicable Me, for his body stilled completely. Disbelieving tears filled his eyes as he stared at the group, Madison, Richard, and Alyson having come to join in on the shock. "What?" Christopher's voice cracked, scrambling out from underneath his covers. "If this is some kind of joke-" Zabdiel stuck the ultrasound pictures in his face, Christopher ripping them out of his grip. He studied the photos silently, a few tears trailing down his face as he took in the news.
"Christopher," Zabdiel caught his attention, slowly reaching out a hand to rest on Christopher's shoulders. "Go after her," Nobody, not even Zabdiel, expected him to say that. "I've never seen you like this before, and if you make my sister happy, then I won't stand in the way of that." Christopher stared up at the slightly taller boy, pulling Zabdiel into an unexpected hug. "Go, Chris. My sister and your baby need you," Erick pulled out his phone, stepping out into the hallway. Edith quietly questioned what he was doing, a tiny tearful smile on his face.
"I'm buying Chris a plan ticket to Miami,"
