"Why are you looking at me like that?"
Zoe had gotten tired of Edith and Alyson staring at her while she drove. She had just told them about her most recent experience with Christopher after getting lunch together. The two girls had sat silently while listening to Zoe the entire time, sharing looks amongst themselves. Of course, they all had mutual thoughts and feelings about their friends' love life. They just had yet to share it with her.
"Because you're catching feelings for Christopher motherfucking Velez," Alyson was the one bold enough to finally blurt it out. Edith sucked in her lips from the passenger seat, holding in a smile. Zoe, on the other hand, almost wrecked the damn car. "Jesus, woman!" Alyson shot her a glare, Zoe waiting until they were parked in front of her home to say a single word.
"I am not catching feeling for anyone, you assholes." The two girls giggled at Zoe's flustered state, following her out of the car. "He's a player," She ranted as they walked through the front door, kicking her shoes off and guiding them to the living room. Edith and Alyson both sat down on one couch across the rocking chair Zoe was in. "And you know I don't do flings, he would never want a relationship."
They couldn't get a single word in, not that they really wanted to. It was kind of amusing watching Zoe alternate from standing to sitting, pacing while she complained. "I mean, I think he's very attractive." She tossed her hands around the air, not noticing the boys walk in the room. Not that the other two girls did either. "Besides, what's to say- oh, fuck me sideways. I have feelings for him,"
"Who exactly do you have feelings for?"
Zoe let out a short scream at Zabdiel's voice, almost falling over. The other two girls shared a panicked look, walking to their boyfriends. "Hey, mi amor." Zabdiel pecked Madison on the lips as she entered the house behind them, turning right back to his sister. "Now, who are we talking about?" Christopher stepped to the side of Zabdiel, staring intensely at Zoe. "Zobeida Mariana De Jesus-"
"Zabdiel De Jesus Colon," Cutting her brother off, Zoe stepped forward with both hands on her curvy hips. His eyes widened significantly over the use of his full name, gulping and unintentionally using his girlfriend as a shield. "I am 21 years old. I will date who I want, like who I want, love who I want, and fuck who I want." Zabdiel cringed at that thought, covering his ears with both hands.
Christopher, on the other hand, thought her powerful rant was insanely hot. "Now, my single ass is gonna go watch a movie. Joel, Christopher, feel free to join." Zoe bid her girl-friends goodbye, working her way upstairs. One set of footsteps followed that she recognized as Christopher's, going straight to her dresser. "Pick a movie, I'm gonna change." She repeated their routine, pulling on a pair of short-shorts and Christopher's black shirt.
"Hey, I chose- wow." Zoe looked up from putting her hair in a high ponytail, Christopher dragging his eyes over her frame. "You look amazing in my clothes." It was far from the first time he'd seen her wearing his clothing, but it never failed to stun him. She flushed bright red, coming to sit beside him on her bed. "So, I picked that new movie you wanted to see, To All The Boys I've Loved Before."
It always amazed her when he would mention little things she'd said in passing. "Thank you, here-" Zoe raised on her knees, intending to lean over him and grab the basket of snacks on her bedside table. Somehow she slipped once she completed the task and ended up straddling his back. "This is actually pretty comfortable," Christopher chuckled, unfazed by her minuscule weight on him.
"Feel free to stay there," Zoe nodded, taking him up on his offer. She leaned down so her breasts were pressed up against his back, chin resting on his shoulder. It was a horrible decision, really, being so close to his face and breathing in his scent. Her hands aimlessly wandered up to play with his hair, noticing his adorably pleased sigh. "That feels amazing,"
"Mhm, can I braid your hair?" Christopher scoffed, turning his head to the side when she leaned up. "Please," Zoe whined, a strangely pleasing sound to him. He smirked, giving her a single nod. "Yay!" She cheered childishly, expertly moving her fingers along his black strands. "God, I love your hair." Zoe started with one small braid, thankful she had tiny black rubber bands beside the bed.
His eyes had fallen closed during the second braid, something she hadn't noticed. Four braids later, she had finally finished Christopher's hair. "I'm done," She then heard soft snores leaving his lips, bringing a tiny smile to hers. "And you're asleep." Zoe carefully thought leaned back up from her reclining position, planning on moving off him when two hands stopped him.
"Stay, mi Princesa." Zoe's breath caught in her throat, Christopher's raspy voice imprinting in her mind. "You're warm and surprisingly comfy," She giggled, lying in his side this time. Carefully reaching behind her, Zoe pulled a blanket over them. "So, who were you talking about earlier?" Christopher tried to make it sound casual, but she could hear the hopefulness in his voice.
"I think you already know who I was talking about, Guapo." Christopher gulped, turning his head to the side. Zoe was already looking at him, their faces just inches apart. All traces of sleep had disappeared from his body in under five seconds. His hand skimmed its way up her leg, stopping just under her shirt on her hip. "I'm gonna need you to say it anyway," He admitted, eyes flickering down to her lips. She inhaled sharply, know there was a thin line and she was about to cross it.
