Doctor McCoy (Special Edition)

You curled up in a small ball. You were scared, cold, alone and only six years old. Your parents were gone, your dad died and your mom left you on a completely different planet where a couple had taken you in and used you like a slave. After about six months there, a ship from Starfleet had landed on the planet. You knew Starfleet because that's where your mom worked. You had climbed aboard the ship and found someway to get to the Med bay where you hid in a large white box of medications. Than you found out that it wasn't the best hiding spot has it was a cooler for pills that were literally chill pills.

Doctor McCoy threw the phone aside in anger. He's ex-wife had cut him and his daughter's phone chat short because 'Joanna had to take a bath'. He sighed and went to get some of the aspirin he kept cold because they worked faster form him. Jim thought it was just plain weird but what the hell did Jim know? McCoy roughly opened the cooler to instead of finding ibuprofen, found a little girl. She looked up with terrified (e/c) orbs. "Oh, hello." He said awkwardly.

You stared up at the man above. "You okay little darlin'?" He asked. You nodded and pulled yourself up a little to seem more presentable. "Lets get you out of there." The strange man picked you up and carried you to an office. There he sat you down on a desk and pulled up a chair for himself. You two stared at each other until he begun an introduction. "My name is Lenarad but you can call me Bones or McCoy if you like, everyone else does. I'm a Doctor here on the U.S.S Enterprise and that's all I have to tell. What's your story sweet pea?" He asked. "(y/n) and I lost my daddy and my mommy doesn't love anymore." You say, shivering a bit. McCoy stood up and walked around the desk and grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around your small body.

McCoy felt bad for (y/n). She seemed like such a sweet little girl. Maybe he could keep her with him? Yeah, just until the next shore leave, Jim would understand. And somehow Spock would get used to her. Maybe she could help out around the med bay, she could go around and make patients better. She was cute enough for the job. "Hey, why don't I introduce you to some of my friends. How would you like that?" He asked, she nodded and he scooped her up.

The doctor carried you down a few halls until you reached a big, white room full of flashing lights and people. You felt shy and buried your head in Bones's shoulder. "Bones!" You looked up to see a blonde man walking over. "Bones, whats up with the little girl?" He asked. Bones put you on the ground but you could still hear them talking. "Jim, I think she was abandoned." "And you wanna keep her?" "Yeah." The blonde man knelt down. "Hey, I'm Captain Kirk, what's your name?" You looked up at McCoy. He sighed and knelt down too. "(y/n)." You replied. "(y/n), that's a cool name. So um... how did you get on the ship?" You thought for a mintune. "I-I don't know, mr. Kirk." He looked up at Bones. "She must snuck in with some of the cargo boxes." Bones nodded. "How would you like to stay on the ship?" "By myself?" The men laughed. "No sweetie, you can stay in the Med Bay with me." You smiled. "Like a new daddy?" "If that's what you want." You smiled widder.

Bones set down his pen and looked at (y/n). She had fallen asleep in her chair. Her (h/c) hair fell around her round face. She was so lovable and the nurses loved her. Maybe some time soon or maybe in the far future, McCoy would get to make (y/n) his own and he would, again, have a little girl to love.
