Deceit was not one for parties and yet when the day came around to be his birthday, he expected one.

He knew that the Light Sides always threw parties, much unlike the Dark Sides, which was much different.

The Dark Sides had a Remus, which was why they never had parties. Because if Remus even touches sugar, he gets wild.

So instead, the Dark Sides tend to stay away from parties.

Until this year.

The Light Sides and the Dark Sides have been getting closer, much to the point where they've just been simply calling each other the Sides.

This means the 'Dark Sides' participate in whatever the 'Light Sides' asks them to participate in.

Not because of peer pressure but because the 'Light Sides' have started considering the 'Dark Sides' family.

Deceit wakes up, expecting something extravagant for his birthday but comes across no such thing.

He gets out of bed and goes to the kitchen, which is found in the 'Lightscape'.

Surprisingly, he finds no one there, as he expected. He narrows his eyes, looking around before slowly going into the kitchen and making his breakfast.

He's fairly surprised that Remus hasn't bolted out of anywhere, smacked the back of his head, and ran off, screeching 'Happy Birthday' like he usually does.

It fills Deceit with a sense of relief.

He sits quietly, enjoying the silence as he eats his food.

He clears his plate, setting it in the sink and walking calmly back to the 'Darkscape'.

As he's walking, something smashes him in the back of the head.

He passes out quite quickly, the sound of laughing and mortified yelling being the last thing he hears.

~Time skip~

Deceit groans as he wakes up. He mumbles profanities under his breath, rubbing the back of his head.

"Deceit, are you alright?" A voice asks. Deceit blinks, clearing the blurriness from his vision and seeing all of the sides staring at him. He shouts, backing away and hissing at them.

"Jeez, ever heard of 'personal space'?" Deceit snaps. The sides look a bit embarrassed but back up.

"You didn't answer my question." Logan points out. Deceit groans.

"I just got smashed in the back of the head with whatever the hell hit me, what do you expect?" Deceit hisses. He glares at Remus, standing in front of him. "I know it was you, Remus. What the hell is wrong with you?"

"I don't even know. They told me to get you into the Imagination so here we are." Remus says, grinning.

"You could have told me to go into the Imagination." Deceit snaps. Remus shrugs.

"Not as fun," Remus says simply. Deceit takes an exaggerated breath.

"NOT AS FUN?!" Deceit shouts.

"Alright, let's calm down and we can show you what we have in the Imagination for you!" Roman says, quickly breaking up the fist-fight that was bound to happen.

"Fine." Deceit snaps. "But I'm not done with you." He points at Remus, who was still grinning.

"Okay, come on," Roman says, beginning to lead the way to the Imagination.

"Deceit, don't look," Patton says when they're in front of the door.

"I can't 'not look'. I won't be able to see where I'm-" Deceit is cut off by Remus covering his eyes and he bites back the urge to scream.

They walk a bit more, Deceit putting his full trust into Remus, like an idiot, but it's the only hope he has.

Suddenly, he can see again.

There's a table with balloons and cookies and cupcakes. (Don't ask why I keep doing the exact same thing, it's because I'm lazy.)

Deceit is speechless. He stares in shock before the voices of the five other sides.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY DECEIT!!"

(And now I'm all caught up. See you guys again soon!)
