Tw. Bullying, homophobia, transphobia, trans Logan, homophobic f-bomb, transphobic t-bomb

Human!Au

Logan is a nerd.

He accepts that fact. He loves math and science more than anything else.

However, he never expected to be bullied for it. He got through Elementary School and Middle School just fine.

High School, on the other hand, was a completely different story.

The people he knew since Kindergarten started telling newer people he's never met about him.

About how he's trans and gay.

Which probably just gave them even more of a... 'Reason' to bully him.

The first time was unexpected but not bad.

Logan had just been shoved against a locker and was called a 'fag' before the much taller boy walked away.

Logan was taken aback at first but he didn't dwell on it, just walking the rest of the way to his next class.

However, it just got worse from there.

People would call him 'fag' and 'tranny' on a daily basis. Sometimes, a jock would beat him up.

He has quite a few bruises and some cuts on his upper arms from the words getting to him when he's alone.

Logan walks to class, on guard as always, before being shoved against the locker.

The force makes him drop his papers, his glasses sliding down his nose slightly. He pushes them back, looking up nervously at the much taller boy.

The boy stares down at him, smirking.

"Well, well, well. Hello, tranny." He spits. Logan flinches back, not responding. The boy frowns before punching him across the face with a strength that would have sent the smaller boy down the hall if he wasn't holding Logan against the lockers. "Answer me, fag."

"I-I... Please... Pl-please don't..." Logan whispers, tearing up slightly. The boy laughs.

"Awe, look, the nerd's crying!" He says mockingly before punching Logan in the stomach.

Logan gasps, feeling unable to breathe as he slips down the lockers onto the floor. He curls up, protecting his head and glasses as the boy starts kicking at him.

However, the boy suddenly lets out a shout and the attack stops. Logan hesitantly looks up and sees another boy standing protectively in front of him.

Logan's heart skips a beat as he fixes his glasses and stares in shock.

The boy that was attacking him is holding his nose, his hands rapidly getting bloodier.

"Oh, fuck, it's the freak." The boy growls. The other boy chuckles, still standing protectively.

"Damn right." He snaps. "Get the fuck out of here." The boy sends a glare to Logan before walking off.

Logan flinches slightly and the other boy leans down to his level.

"Are you okay?" He asks softly, gathering his papers up. Logan stares at him before slowly nodding. "That's good. I'm Virgil, by the way." He says.

"I-I'm Logan," Logan responds, taking the papers he dropped as Virgil hands them to him.

"That's a nasty bruise. I have some makeup in my bag if you want to cover it." Virgil says, running a finger lightly over Logan's cheek. Despite the soft touch, Logan still flinches back. "It's okay. I'm not gonna hurt you, okay?"

Virgil then scoots closer, pulling a makeup pallet out of his bag. As he opens it, a passer shouts at them.

"Pft, look at the two fags doing their makeup!" He shouts. Logan looks down in embarrassment, clenching his fists to stop himself from crying more. However, Virgil just glares behind him before shouting back.

"Hey, why don't you fuck off, mate?!" He yells. The guy's eyes widen before he runs away. Logan slowly looks back up at him as Virgil pulls out a makeup brush and dabs it in some of the makeup.

"How do you do that...?" Logan asks. Virgil lightly brushes over the bruise as he responds.

"Just one of the perks of being the freak." He says simply.

"I don't think you're a freak," Logan says softly.

"I don't think you're a nerd," Virgil responds.

"I've accepted that I am," Logan says.

"So have I."

Virgil and Logan meet eye contact before they both smile softly.

They sit in silence for the rest of the time that Virgil covers up Logan's bruise.

When he finishes, he closes the makeup pallet.

"Done." He says, putting his pallet and his brush away. Then, he pulls out a small handmirror and shows Logan.

Logan looks at his cheek but can't tell that there was a bruise there in the first place. He smiles softly at Virgil, who smiles back, snapping the mirror closed.

They then head to class together, Virgil scaring off bullies the way there.

Months later, Virgil admits that he has caught feelings for Logan and they get together.

And throughout the school, they are known as only one thing.

The nerd and the freak.
