Devin's POV:
"Do you feel cold?" I asked her. She just shook her head and held my hand in return.
"I feel warm now, because you're here." I chuckled and tuck her hair behind her ear.
"When did you start throwing off cheesy lines?" She playfully rolled her eyes and pinched my cheek.
"Since...." I was waiting for her to say something, I looked straightly into her eyes.
"Hmm?"
"Since I fell for you." Our eyes locked with each other, making my breath hitched. I cupped both of her cheeks and—
"CUT!" Mabilis kong tinanggal ang mga kamay ko at saka tumayo sa pagkakaupo sa bench. Agad naman kaming tumungo sa cameraman at tiningnan ang mga naunang take.
"It's a wrap, everyone! Thank you! Have a good day ahead!" sigaw ng isa sa mga production team.
"That was a good take, Ziegler. Finally being productive, huh?" Margaret said with a chuckle.
"Tss. I was just occupied with something the other day." She made a face and sticked her tongue out.
"Same old reason?" Mapait ko siyang nginitian at tumango. She just gave me a sad smile.
"You know, this is our last two weeks. Ayusin mo na lahat ng takes, so you can do whatever you need to do." she said, motioning her hands.
"Let's see." I replied with a smile. Tumayo siya at pabirong hinampas ang balikat ko.
"Hindi moko madadaan sa pagpapacute mo! Loyal ako no!" sabi niya pa, saka tinaas ang kamay, pinapakita ang engagement ring.
"I'm not trying to be cute?" said, I.
"Psh! If you want to stay here for too long, ako, ayoko. Matatapos na rin ang kontrata. Gusto ko ng umuwi ng Pilipinas. I miss Miguel already."
"Fine, fine. Whatever, see you in a bit." She nodded and started walking to her manager.
She's the leading lady of the movie that I've been working with. The movie will be released on the twelfth month of the year. My thoughts were interrupted by the buzzing sound of my phone. I exhaustedly sat at my own high end director chair as I answered the call.
"Yes?"
"Anong gusto mong kainin? I'm already here at the fast food restau."
"Kahit ano na. I'll be eating at La Belle." I simply said.
"How about chicken and spag? Do you also want desserts?"
"Anything will—"
"Tch. Choose already, Vin. This is free, don't worry. Di ko ikakaltas sa sweldo mo 'to." she said, with a hearty laugh. I only groaned.
"Pies will do. And maybe some french fries. Mauuna na ako sa tower."
"Okay, bye." And, she ended the call. I bid my goodbyes to the staff and thank them for the shoots today.
The drive to my apartment was silent and.... empty. I glanced at the shotgun seat and remembered her....again. I sighed heavily as I shifted my car to the lay-by.
"It's been exactly two hundred and forty days, now." Pinikit ko nang mariin ang mga mata saka nagpatuloy sa pagmamaneho.
Malungkot kong pinagmasdan ang paligid pagkababa ko ng kotse. Every damn corner just reminds me of you.
"Hell, she doesn't even care. What a pity." I told myself as I shook my head and went straight to the lobby. I was greeted by some people and staff. Hindi pa man narerelease ang movie, the executive producers were already promoting the film. The trailer dropped like a bomb, it went trending worldwide in social medias. Halos lahat ng mga tao rito ay kilala ako, I couldn't help but feel exposed sometimes.
