<Last part of Black Rose, woo!

And I know I had Zedaph on the list too, but I'm not adding him. Why is that? I simply can't work him in without having to completely alter the story, so just imagine there was never supposed to be any Zed involved, ok? Ok, now enjoy!>

Grian hummed as he finished writing the letter to Python, a satisfied smile on his face. He had spent the last hour or so coming up with, and writing the letters to TFC and Python. Now what flowers to give them?

A bark from his right brought his attention away from that thought and to his dog. The white canine had two flowers in his muzzle, as well as dirt on his paws, "Mr. Wulfy Face (do any of you guys even know who this is? Eh, I'll explain if anyone asks), did you pick flowers for me?"

The dog let out a happy bark, flowers still held securely in his mouth. He padded up the rest of the way to Grian and gently laid down the flowers in Grian's lap. "Thank you boy." Smiled the dirty blond, giving the big dog pats on the head.

Mr Wulfy Face trotted off into the rest of the house after that. Grian watched the dog go with a shake of his head and smile on his face. He picked up the flowers that he'd been gifted with to see what his dog thought of as good flowers to give.

A poppy and a cluster of burning hearts (it's a flower, I promise). He guessed the poppies would be for Python and the hearts for TFC, which honestly fit well. Who knew dogs could know so much about flowers?

Grian took out his new phone, since he'd thrown the old one out before arriving at New Hermitville, and sent a text to Keralis and Bdubs asking them to come to his house. A few moments later he received replies from the two telling him they'd be there in a moment.

And just as promised they arrived a few minutes later, "That was quicker than I expected. Anyways, can you two deliver these letters? And maybe wait for Python and TFC to write a reply or something, if they want to reply that is?"

"Sure!" Smiled Bdubs, pouncing on the balls of his heels. "Who's going to who?"

Grian tapped his black fingers against his chin in thought, eyes scrunched up as he tried to think up who should go to who, "Hmm, Keralis can go to Python, and you can go to TFC." The dirty blond looked at the two, "Do you know where they live?"

"Oh, I do!" Grinned Keralis, "And I have a map over the entire main island that Doc gave to me that you can use Bubbles."

"Then we're all set to go." Said Bdubs, clapping his callused hands together, "Now gimme the letter please!"

Grian chuckled as he handed the black haired builder TFC's letter and flower. He then turned to Keralis and gave him Python's stuff, "Now be careful you two, I don't want any death messages before you've delivered the letters and flowers."

The two laughed as they headed out, "We'll make sure to be careful!" Called Bdubs as he rocketed up in the sky and towards Hermitville (where the nearest nether portal was), Keralis hot on his heels.

Grian sat at the table for a few minutes after they left, eyes following the movements of the lotus flower in front of him. His eyes were scrunched up in thought, finger tapping on the wood in a slow rhythm. After a few minutes of doing this he let out a deep sigh, "I guess it's now or never."

The dirty blond quickly wrote a note explaining where he was going before heading out. Under the effects of an invisibility potion he made his way to where he guessed Ren was, the dragon dojo. Thankfully Ren was actually there, so he wouldn't have to go look in another place.

Grian landed quietly and watched Ren work. He knew he had to act soon, his potion was running out after all, but he didn't know how. He had run away without a word, for all Ren knew he could be dead!

Ok maybe not that extreme, but you get what he means!

Grian saw Ren walk out of sight to somewhere, so he jumped down from where he had been berchd to get a better look. And in the weeks he'd been gone it seemed like he forgot that jumping down from stuff made noises, and that Ren was a wolf hybrid with even better sense then normal.

Which is why he was now face to face to Ren, a few blocks apart, with the latter looking straight through him. Literally.

Grian knew the potion was fading when Ren's previously narrowed eyes widened comically. He let his friend -could he even still call Ren that?- gape for a few minutes before breaking the silence. "Hi Re, it's good to see you again."

"You're actually here." Whispered Ren after a few seconds of silence. A smile broke onto his face. "You're here! Actually here!

That wasn't what he'd expected, and the tackle hug he received wasn't expected either. But he didn't mind either.

He hugged the wolf back fiercely, reveling in the feeling of being with his brother in all but blood. "I'm here. And I'm not leaving, not again."

Ren let out a wet laugh. "You better not! And if you do, you better bring me with you."

"If that's what you want." Grinned Grian, eyes shining bright with happiness. "Now come with me, we're going home."

"So tell me where you've been hiding?" Prompted Ren as they walked to a nether portal. "I'm curious as to where you could have possibly hidden."

The dirty blond smiled innocently up at him. "You'll not believe me if I just tell you. So you'll have to wait."

The brunette pouted, but didn't press it. He followed Grian through the nether portal and through the portals leading to Hermitville. They exited the portal and flew away from the town and towards New Hermitville, where two people were waiting.

Grian crashed right into Bdubs waiting arms with a joval laugh, making them both tumble to the ground.

"Hey! Watch it!" Playfully scolded Bdubs, swatting at the now giggling Grian. "I went all the way to the main island for you, show some respect here!"

"Sorry!" Said Grian, not sounding sorry at all, before getting off the ebony haired man and helping him up.

"So this is where you've been?" Asked Ren, looking at the two interacting, three if you counted Keralis dying of laughter off to the side. "Hiding where no one would look for you, yet also right under our noses? I'm impressed."

Grian grinned at him, a bubbly laugh leaving him. "We've never said it like that before, it sounds way more comical like that."

"It does." Agreed Keralis, no longer dying from laughter. "We should say it more often."

"Agreed." Said Grian before turning back to Ren, violet eyes warm, welcoming and undoubtedly happy. "And Ren? Welcome home."

The brunette wolf smiled at him. "Thank you for reopening the door, I'm glad to be back in the warmth again."

And as Grian returned the smile he couldn't help but feel that things were turning for the better.

Sure, Ren would only be marking the sixth person to be welcomed back, but he hoped the wolf would be the first of many. He had missed joking around with everyone, missed the banter and fun. But after everything he didn't regret leaving. Now he'd be sure to not let anyone in before he had forgiven them. And with the New Hermitvillers and Ren close by his side, he could finish healling. And once he was done, he could heal his bonds with the others.

He could perhaps learn to forgive his family. For that was what they were: His family. Even though they'd wronged him, that was still true.

And real family were willing to fix their wrongs, just like the Hermits were at the moment, and not expect immediate changes. And Grian was eternally thankful for that.

And in due time they'd all be forgiven. But right now he'll enjoy the company of those close to him at that moment, and he'll forget about everything else until the sun rose once more high in the sky.

<Second to last one-shot for the book! Woo! And if I'm not to lazy tomorrow, I might be able to finish the last fic too. And who knows? Maybe ND (new dawn in short form) and TRMAS will get something too? But how knows yet. Anyways, I best be of to bed. So stay safe and have a wonderful time everyone!>
