Serenity
"Girl! I couldn't wait to come in here so you could do my make up." One of my clients hurried and sat in my chair.
"Where you been at?"
"I was sick so I had to take some time off." I half lied. This pregnancy had me throwing up everywhere and I had to wait until it calmed down so I could come back to work. I haven't told anyone about me being pregnant. Only my close friends and family. My boss knows as well because the sick shit wasn't sliding through with her. But me and her are cool and all so it really wasn't a big thing that I told her.
"Yeah sick my ass, I seen you on the gram glowing. That old nigga got you happy." She smiled and I blushed.
"Hush." I laughed as I cleaned her face.
"But Dave East Serenity. Lord!!! Ya cousin than snatched her up something serious!! All them bitches is mad." She laughed and I chuckled. "When I came to get my hair braided up last week, you should have heard how many bitches was in here hating."
"Girl she ain't lying. You better keep ya cousin up out of here before she start a war in here and beat all them bitches up like she did that customer." My boss June came out back making us bust up laughing.
"Y'all get off my cousin, she just a hot head who was defending her self."
"Y'all both some hot heads. How she doing though?"
"She happy. She got her moments where shit ain't going right but she happy."
"I'm happy for her, it was long time coming."
"Tell me about it." I smiled and continued doing my clients makeup. She wanted something natural and I loved doing these simple looks. It always reminded me when I practiced on Treasure face. She used to be so mad but she never stopped me from doing it. Me and my cousin then came a long way I swear. Once I was done she paid me and gave me a hug.
"Thank you girl, you always get me right."
"No problem, enjoy tonight." I smiled. 8 clients later I finally had a break and sat down in my chair. I groaned when I felt someone come my way but smiled when I seen it was Bully. "Hi." I smiled.
"Sup wifey." He cheesed and handed me some food. I started twerking in my seat. "You ain't ate?"
"No." I opened the food and dove in.
"You gotta stop doing that to my baby Reni."
"I just was busy. I ate breakfast though I promise."
"Serenity."
"Bully, don't come in here lecturing me. I'm eating now shit." He walked over to me and towered over me. I looked up at him and he had a mug on his face.
