55. "How can you expect me to trust you after what you did?"
69. "Why didn't you try harder? You just left."
She had never expected to see him again. He had walked out of her life without so much as a word of explanation why, but now, once again, (Y/N) was face to face with Doctor Bruce Banner. Once the love of her life, her ex-fiance was now the object of her heartbreak.
"(Y/N), I don't have time to explain, you just have to trust me." He seemed sincere, but she couldn't forget what he did.
" Trust you ?" she exclaimed. "How can you expect me to trust you after what you did?"
"I--"
"No, you walked out on me ! Why didn't you try harder? You just left!"
He looked a bit like a kicked puppy, but she was too angry to care right now.
"I promise I'll explain... But you have to let me help you."
There was a long silence, then, "Get out of my sight."
So, against his better judgement, he walked out of her life for the second time. And, for the second time, she was wishing that she had made him stay.
