Days like this were tough. The days when Thor didn't even want to look out the window, much less go outside. The toll of these long years weighed on him, no matter how much you tried to help.
Days like this were hard to judge. Maybe he would drink himself to sleep, or threaten children on the PlayStation. Maybe he would actually smile instead.
Today, however, turned out to be a good day. He came out of his room and sat beside you, no words needed. When he held you close, you were grateful to realize he'd even taken a shower.
Days like this were rare. Few and far between, but special. The simple days, where all your worries and all your guilt slipped away, like the waves in the harbor.
