"Seriously, George? I changed into Snape to pull this off!"
You didn't understand why your friend hadn't pulled through. Fred had done his part perfectly, and you had used your Metamorphmagus powers just the way they'd asked, but... there was something up with George.
He wouldn't make eye contact.
"George, come on..."
There was a smile on his face, but it seemed hollow.
"I was just distracted. No big deal."
You followed his gaze. For some reason, he was glaring at Fred... You had been joking with Fred when he'd flubbed his bit of the prank.
"George... Are you jealous?"
"What?" he scoffed. "No way. Why would you think that?"
You smiled coyly. "Just a feeling. I don't blame you at all. I mean... I get jealous when you chat up that Ravenclaw chaser...."
Realization dawned in his eyes, and a hint of a smile played on his face.
"Oh... I see." He grinned. "Maybe we should talk about that jealousy over a butterbeer this weekend?"
"I'd like that."
