Shawn looked up at me. He did a double-take, and soon enough his cheeks were reddening and a smirk spread across his face.
"What?" I asked him, worrying that I put my shirt on inside out or something else to embarrass myself. He shook his head.
"Pl...
As much as we didn't want to be the stereotypical "tourist" couple while we were in Paris, we did still want to see all of the classic Parisian tourist attractions. Did that make us basic? Maybe. Did we care? Of course not.
We spent the day after our Disneyland trip visiting all of the major landmarks—starting, of course, with the Eiffel Tower. It was insanely busy and the lines were incredibly long, but we were both glad that we did it, even if our knees hurt from climbing the 674 steps it took to get the the second level—not that we were counting, or anything.
Next up was the Arc De Triomphe, which was far more impressive in real life than it had been in pictures. We then decided to take a stroll down Champs Elysees before stopping to take a few photos together at Pont De l'Alma. We struggled to get a selfie with the Eiffel Tower, the Seine River and both of us in the shot—but luckily, a kind stranger stopped offered to take a few photos for us. We happily posed together as the passerby snapped the photos. Camila reached up and planted a kiss on my cheek as the last photo was taken.
"You two are just adorable!" the kind woman said to us as she handed my phone back to me.
"Thank you," Camila said shyly as we both blushed. After taking our pictures, we crossed the river to go to a stop that was on Camila's list of places she wanted to visit—The Branly Museum, an art museum that she had read about online. It was an incredibly interesting museum and the best part is that it wasn't super crowded, which I appreciated. The museum showcased an impressive collection of art from Africa, Asia & Oceania. My personal favorite piece there was the Easter Island Moai Head.
It was already evening by the time we were leaving the museum, so we decided to take a stroll alongside the banks of Seine. We followed the river back toward the Eiffel Tower before deciding to buy a bottle of wine and sit at Trocadero while we enjoyed the tower's light show. We had originally planned on enjoying a nice dinner out, but it was late and both of us had decided we would rather just head back to our hotel. Luckily for us, the hotel we were staying at had multiple Michelin star restaurants inside it. We went to our room and changed quickly before enjoying dinner at the fanciest of the five restaurants—Le Cinq.
