The days passed by in light hearted fun as the boys grew closer. Soobin and Yeonjun, too grew closer still as they spent almost every weekend hanging out together.

One fine spring day, a pair project was introduced in their English literature class and Soobin was thinking that since it was class most of them had together with only Kai not in the class, the pairs would've been the couple and Soobin with Yeonjun. However, the pairings were decided by the teacher and had been: Yeonjun and Taehyun, Beomgyu with one of his other friends and Soobin with a classmate that he didn't know at all.

Soobin was nervous and wanted to be with Yeonjun, but didn't protest against. Nonetheless, Soobin's partner did, "But I don't want to be partners with Choi Soobin, ma'am," the boy said, sounding calm but serious. The teacher gave a glare and sternly replied, "If you don't wish to follow my directives, please stop attending my class, Kim Yoonho." Yoonho quietly sat back down on his seat, not wishing to anger the teacher but shot a dirty look at Soobin, making Soobin feel smaller than ever.

After instructions were given, the boys were to move so that they were sitting with their partners. Yeonjun got up from Soobin's side, "I wanted to be with you," he said with a dramatic frown. "Yeah, me too," Soobin replied. "Well, best of luck, yeah?" Yeonjun smiled, taking Soobin's hand and squeezing it once before leaving to go to Taehyun.

Soobin grew anxious as he sat alone waiting for Yoonho, he couldn't help but feel like something bad was about to happen. The glare he had received from Yoonho was a puzzle but he did know that for some reason the boy wasn't very fond of him. Soon the class was settled and Yoonho had come and sat down besides Soobin. Yoonho didn't greet Soobin and just quietly sat down. Soobin grew more restless and stressed about whether or not he should be the one to start the talking.

"Okay boys, brainstorm your ideas with your partner for the rest of the class, right," the teacher suddenly said, the class followed her directions and soon everyone was chatting up with their partners. The teacher walked out of class, telling them to continue working until the bell went off. When Yoonho still didn't say anything, Soobin decided to start the conversation.

"Hi, you're Yoonho, right?" Soobin gave a small smile.

"So you can talk, huh? I thought you couldn't or something," Yoonho gave a mere glance to Soobin and went back to looking ahead of him.

"Yeah, so the project-"

"See, I have no interest to work on any project with you," Yoonho rudely interrupted continuing to look at something ahead of him.

Soobin was taken aback by his words and grew panicky.

"It's so dumb, honestly. I was so happy when the teacher said Choi, but it's so dumb how it ended up being you and not Choi Yeonjun," Yoonho said in distaste, moving his head as though he was trying to get a better view of something.

Soobin realized that what Yoonho was looking at was Yeonjun who was sitting near the front of the class with Taehyun.

"I don't even understand why someone like you is hanging around Choi Yeonjun, really. What do you have that Yeonjun seems to want you around so badly? I bet you're rich, huh. But obviously not as much as me, hmm~ maybe I should just go in and make Yeonjun mine. Then he'll have no need to keep someone like you around."

Soobin was horrified. Maybe he was angry at Yoonho for thinking so little of Yeonjun maybe he was hit with the fact that he thought Yoonho was right, but Soobin got teary-eyed and looked away. "Really, what have I ever done for Yeonjun? What can i do for Yeonjun? What could I ever do for Yeonjun?" Soobin grew anxious and soon was silently sobbing, turning away from Yoonho and looking out the window.

"Crying are you, you little loser?" Yoonho jeered and soon the whole class had their eyes on Soobin.
