With the final exams starting in the last week of the month, the rest of November flew by as the boys worked hard on revisions.

Soobin had three exams in November and two in the first week of December along with the deadline for his personal project in music on the fourth of the last month.

With different exam dates according to their varying subjects, Soobin didn't see the other boys together except on the day of their English exam. The boys had wished each other luck and split ways to the test hall, meeting after to exchange short remarks before hurrying home to study for the next one. But since they had quite the few overlapping subjects, Soobin always had either Kai, or Yeonjun, or even both, to keep him company on the walks back home.

Soon, Soobin was done with his last exam and after adding a few touches to his project, he was going to school in the cold morning of December fourth to submit his recording of a short piece he had composed and tried writing the lyrics to.

After dropping off the disc with his recording, Soobin was about to head back home when he heard a familiar voice call out to him, from across the hall, "Binnie?" Soobin smiled and turned to face the older, "Oh Jun-hyung, hey!"

Soobin waved excitedly and waited for the older to catch up. The older ran to him and engulfed him in a tight hug with their thick winter coats almost suffocating them, "Hi Binnie!"

"How were exams? Good?" Yeonjun asked, pulling away from the hug and looking at the younger with a smile.

"Yup. How were yours?" Soobin asked, happy to see the older as they walked out of the school building.

"Great too. Hey, want to hangout today?" Yeonjun turned to him.

"Sure! Since exams are over and all!"

"Yup! So what does Soobinnie want to do today?"

"Hm? What do I want to do today? I don't know, hyung," Soobin replied with a smile.

"Well, want to catch a movie?" Yeonjun asked.

"How about watching movies at home then?" Soobin suggested, not wanting to go to a crowded theatre.

"That'll be great! You want to go get snacks from a store first?"

"That'd be great but I didn't really get my wallet today, hyung," Soobin replied with a pout.

"That's alright," Yeonjun put a hand on the younger's shoulder, the other patting on his pocket, "Hyung's treat."

"Really?"

"Yup! Consider it a gift for studying well?"

"C'mon hyung, you studied hard too!"

"Well, that, yes I did. But I always study hard, Bin," Yeonjun jokingly winked.

"Oh c'mon. Anyway, how about I treat you next time then?"

"Next time?"

"Yeah, next time."

Yeonjun paused before smiling wide again, "Sure. Next time."

"Do you think we should call the others?" Soobin asked.

"We could if you wanted to, Binnie," Yeonjun replied, fondly stroking his black hair as they walked with Yeonjun's arm over the younger's shoulder.

"Maybe not. I think Taehyun and Kai have one more exam left for today and they'll be tired," Soobin quickly replied.

"Aww. Well, I guess it's just you and me then."

"We can call them next time," Soobin smiled.

Yeonjun glanced at the younger, he looked happy with his cheerful smile and sparkly eyes, "Yeah, next time."

"Next time when I treat you, then I guess I'll have to treat them too then," Soobin grinned.

"That's cool," Yeonjun replied, "They'll be overjoyed, tears of happiness running down their faces and all."

"My wallet will also be crying."

Yeonjun laughed. The younger followed with an excited chuckle of his own and Yeonjun looked at the way the younger's eyes turned into crescents, the way his round cheeks lifted, the way his pretty pink lips looked against his tiny white teeth. Yeonjun soaked it all in, making sure to never forget how the younger looked right then, the effect the younger had on him, the way the younger made him feel, so alive.
