That evening, on the walk home, the boys shared no words amongst each other, Kai hadn't told anyone what he'd seen but there was an odd discomfort radiating of off him and none of the others had got around to questioning it. Soon, Taehyun, Beomgyu and Yeonjun were gone and it was just Kai and Soobin, the tension had hit the roof but none of the boys addressed it. Right as Soobin's stop came by, Kai asked, "You alright?" "Yeah," Soobin answered with a small but genuine smile before saying his goodbye and going home.

Later at the night, Yeonjun received a string of text messages from Beomgyu.

C. Beomgyu: Yeonjun

C. Beomgyu: Yeonjun

C. Beomgyu: Yeonjunnnn

C. Yeonjun: Yeah??~

C. Beomgyu: Do you know what day it is tomorrow?

C. Yeonjun: Saturday!

C. Beomgyu: No!!

C. Yeonjun: No?

C. Beomgyu: It's Kai's birthday!

C. Yeonjun: Oh!

C. Yeonjun: That's fun :D

C. Beomgyu: So, let's meet up tomorrow and set up a surprise party for him at night!

C. Yeonjun: Okay!

C. Yeonjun: I'll text Soobin and let him know too~

C. Beomgyu: Oh, don't worry, I've already told him about it

C. Yeonjun: Oh alright:D

Yeonjun decided to text Soobin about it once before going to bed anyway,

C. Yeonjun: Kai's birthday tomorrow sounds fun!

C. Yeonjun: I'm very excited even though it's not my own birthday Lolol

C. Yeonjun: See you there tomorrow :D

C. Yeonjun: Goodnighttt!~

Checking the time and seeing that it was almost midnight, Yeonjun smiled to himself, "Soobin's obviously already asleep," and too, went to bed.

The next morning, Soobin awoke early. He saw Yeonjun's texts from the night before and smiled to himself as he read them, excited to see Yeonjun later. Since he was up early and didn't have much to do, he scrolled his Instagram feed lazily, seeing that Taehyun, Beomgyu and Yeonjun had posted birthday wishes for Kai, Soobin remembered that it was Kai's birthday and decided to text him a birthday wish too.

C. Soobin: Happy Birthday, Kai my brother!

C. Soobin: I hope you have a wonderful time this year too.

C. Soobin: I hope we can be friends for a long time.

Remembering what Taehyun had said the day before about going out together to celebrate Kai's birthday, Soobin quickly got up and got ready for the day.

As Soobin got done, he saw that he had received some messages from Yeonjun and Taehyun.

C. Yeonjun: I'm so excited !

C. Yeonjun: Btw, what gift did you get for Kai?~

C. Yeonjun: I'm just getting him some cookies and a book bag Lolol

C. Yeonjun: Lame but oops

Soobin cursed to himself as he realized he hadn't prepared any sort of gift for Kai.
C. Soobin: Oh no.

C. Soobin: I just realized I don't have a gift prepared for him.

C. Soobin: Perhaps I'll buy him whatever on the way there.

C. Soobin: Anyway, I'm excited to see you today :))

C. Yeonjun: oml T-T

C. Yeonjun: *uno reverse card*

Soobin smiled to himself at Yeonjun's reply and moved on to see what Taehyun had sent.

K. Taehyun: Hey, Beomgyu, Yeonjun and I might be a little late so keep Kai company until we arrive, ok?

K. Taehyun: Go to a café or something, Kai'll probably be hungry

K. Taehyun: I've known him long enough to know that haha

C. Soobin: Oh alright.

C. Soobin: Be there soon enough though.

Soobin checked the time, it was almost 10 am. Remembering that they had planned to meet at the train station at 10, Soobin quickly got his shoes on and took off, excited to meet his friends on a weekend.
