"Hyung, you alright?" Beomgyu asked, feeling slightly weird about how the older was calm and even had a slight bounce to his steps, as though nothing bad had happened.
"Yeah," Yeonjun answered cheerfully.
The rest of the boys were confused, why did Yeonjun seem cheerful?
"Hyung, did something good happen?" Kai asked.
"Oh yeah, I met Yoonho on the way back and he gave me the finished product of their project."
"The one with Soobin-hyung?" Beomgyu asked.
"Yeah," Yeonjun answered.
There was a silence as the boys ate. Kai, Beomgyu and Taehyun stealing occasional glances at the older and feeling bad for him while the oldest acted indifferent to it.
"By the way," Yeonjun spoke up suddenly, making the other three look up at him.
"Yeah, Hyung?"
"How did Binnie even get that bruise?"
"Oh..." Beomgyu and Taehyun went, meeting eyes with each other, they didn't know.
"Yoonho hit him," Kai blurted out.
"It was Yoonho?" Taehyun asked.
"It's obvious when you think about it," Beomgyu commented with a sign.
"He punched Binnie?"
"Yeah..." Kai recalled the dreaded scene and winced.
"I'm so mad, I'm going to beat that Yoonho up," Beomgyu made a fist and punched his other hand with it.
"Now now, Soobin-hyung will get mad at you. This is exactly why he didn't tell us who punched him," Taehyun said woefully.
There was another silence as Yeonjun drifted away in his thoughts while the three younger ones just awkwardly looked at each other and then at the older.
Feeling suffocated by the silence, Kai spoke again, "So Hyung didn't tell you two what happened at class?"
"Nope," Taehyun replied.
"Oh he said he just got punched by some random dude..." Beomgyu trailed off, suddenly seeing that Yeonjun's face had gotten completely pale.
Taehyun and Kai followed Beomgyu's eyes and also noticed the oldest who wasn't looking too good, "Hyung?"
Yeonjun had an indifferent faraway expression on his face but his complexion had become chalk white.
"What happened? Why are all of you looking at me like that?" The tone of Yeonjun's voice was as usual, but in contrast to his usual flair, his voice sounded softer and the strength in it was weak.
"Hyung, you look-"
Right then, the bell for the next class rang, interrupting Kai. Yeonjun got up from his seat, "Let's go then, guys."
The three younger ones exchanged weirded out looks before quickly taking their plate and following the older who was already well on his way to class.
As Beomgyu sat on the desk between Taehyun and Yeonjun, he said, "Soobin-hyung just texted me saying that he's probably going to go home for the rest of the day."
"They'll let them leave just like that?" Kai asked from Yeonjun's other side.
"He can leave if his parents can come pick him up," Taehyun spoke up.
"Have you met Soobin-hyung's parents, Jun-hyung? What kind of people are they?" Kai asked Yeonjun.
Yeonjun knew Soobin's parents were rather neglectful of their oldest son and didn't know what to say. After a small pause, he spoke, "I haven't met them, I don't know."
Yeonjun then turned to Taehyun, "What happens if Soobinnie's parents can't come to get him?"
"He'll have to return to class," Taehyun simply stated.
"Why? Won't his parents come, Hyung?" Beomgyu asked Yeonjun.
"I don't know. I was just wondering what'd happen to Binnie if they couldn't."
"Oh," Beomgyu and Kai nodded.
Yeonjun suddenly let out a big yawn, "Wow, I'm tired."
"Didn't you get enough sleep last night, hyung?" Kai asked.
"Yeah, I did. I don't know why I'm so tired. I think I'll just rest for a bit, since the teacher isn't here and all," Yeonjun folded his arms on the table and put his head down.
"Hyung, don't sleep in class!" Taehyun scolded.
"I'm not going to sleep, just going to rest my eyes for a bit."
Before the other boys could say anything, Yeonjun was softly snoring.
"I guess the whole thing with Soobin-hyung made him tired," Beomgyu said, draping the older's jacket around his shoulders.
"I always knew Soobin-hyung and Yeonjun-hyung we're close but wow, it was so weird seeing Yeonjun-hyung so weak and fragile," Kai said.
"I mean, I don't blame him, he's human too," Taehyun agreed.
"When I saw Yeonjun-hyung break down like that, I almost cried," Beomgyu sniffed.
"I know right, it was so heartbreaking to see since hyung always acts so cool," Kai agreed, the image of Yeonjun's painful eyes coming in his head.
