"Hello?" Yeonjun's clear voice reached Soobin and his mother through the speaker.

"Hyung," Soobin breathed out heavily.

"Binnie?! Are you alright? Did anything happen?"

Soobin's mum took a deep breath before she started talking, "Hello, dear. This is actually Soobin's mum, do you think you could drop by to Soobin's house right now?"

"Oh, hello Mrs. Choi, what happened? Is Soobin alright?"

Soobin's mum looked down at her son's pale, sweaty face and barely open eyes, "I will be," he whispered.

"Y-Yeonjun dear, do you think you could come by right now?" Soobin's mother asked, dreading to say his name.

"Yes, of course. In fact, I'm right outside the front door right now."

"How'd you- anyway, I'll send my son to open the door for you," Soobin's mother turned to Taewook who was staring at Soobin from the doorway, "Taewook dear, there should be a blue-haired Hyung at the door, do you think you can go let him in?"

Taewook hesitantly left and soon fast footsteps were heard before the boy, Choi Yeonjun himself, was there and knelt besides Soobin, clutching his hand, "Binnie, are you alright?"

"Hyung," Soobin slowly opened his eyes.

Soobin's mum quietly watched as Yeonjun tried to talk to Soobin and Soobin slowly replied, gradually gaining more strength to sit up.

"Maybe you should go to bed," Yeonjun said, looking at Soobin with loving eyes.

Soobin's mother couldn't help but notice the eerie resemblance the boy seemed to have with Soobin's childhood friend and couldn't shake off the creepy feeling the boy's gray eyes gave her.

Soobin slowly stood up as Yeonjun helped him up, Soobin's mother stood up too but before she could do anything, Yeonjun scooped up Soobin, carrying him bridal style as he walked to Soobin's room.

"Hyung, you didn't have to carry me," Soobin's mother heard her son say as she quietly followed the two boys, completely at an awe at how easily the skinny boy had carried her son.

When Soobin's mother reached the room, she saw her son on the bed while the other boy was at the closet, collecting some clothes.

Soobin's mother quietly watched from the door as the boy approached her son and handed him the clothes, "Change into these and go to bed, okay Binnie?"

"Hyung, I'm sorry for calling you so late into the night."

"That's alright, Binnie. For you, it's never a problem," Yeonjun replied with a smile.

Soobin gave a small smile and Yeonjun returned it before turning to leave.

"Hyung, do you want to go on a walk with me?"

"Wait, right now?" Yeonjun turned back to him.

"I'll change and we can go."

"You have to get some sleep, Soobinnie, we can go some other time," Yeonjun said with a smile.

"Hyung, there's somewhere I want to go with you."

"We can go some other time, you need to-"

"Please, Hyung," Soobin begged, cutting the older off.

"Honey, do go to bed for now. You can go where you want to tomorrow," Soobin's mum said from the doorway.

Soobin looked back at his mum and gave an exasperated sigh, making his mother lose confidence and unknowingly lower her gaze to the floor, perhaps she had crossed the line. She realized it wasn't right to suddenly act all mother-like after all these years of neglect.

"Yeah, you guys are right," Soobin said after a pause, "But Hyung, be sure to come by around the evening tomorrow, okay? We can go then, right?"

"Alright, Binnie."

Soobin's mother smiled from at the door, watching his son and the strange boy who as puzzling as he was, did seem to make her son very happy.

"Goodnight, Binnie. I'll get going now so get some good sleep, okay?"

"Alright, Hyung. Be sure to be here tomorrow, okay?"

"Right right. Bye," Yeonjun exited the room.

"Goodnight, son," Soobin's mother said before closing the door and facing Yeonjun who was stood beside her.

"Goodnight, Mrs. Choi, I'll be leaving now," Yeonjun said with a bow before turning to leave.

Soobin's mother took a deep breath to mentally prepare herself before speaking, "Son, do you want me to drop you home? I can get the car-"

"Oh no, it's alright, Mrs. Choi. But thank you so much for the offer," Yeonjun smoothly dodged before turning to go down the stairs.

Soobin's mother quickly followed, "Do you live close by?"

"Yes."

"That must be why you made it here so fast."

"Yes, of course," Yeonjun flashed a charming smile, but to Soobin's mother, it was just creepy how much the smile resembled the one she'd seen in a picture just a couple of minutes ago, on the face of a boy who was now dead.

"I could walk you till there."

"No thank you, ma'am. It's really alright, I can manage."

"You sure?"

"Yes."

"Point out your place to me so I can come by to thank your mother sometime. Since you were so nice to my son, it's my duty to-"

"Oh, I actually live alone."

"Alone?"

"Yes, in a rented room."

Soobin's mother blinked in confusion, where they lived was the part of town filled with big family houses and not the place for big buildings to rent rooms from.

"Goodnight, Mrs. Choi," Yeonjun said with a bow and quickly left, closing the door behind him and leaving a confused woman just standing, staring at the now closed door.
