Finally being done with lunch after a series of "no you choose the restaurant" which had eventually ended with going to a local tteokbokki house. And after another few ten minutes of playing around in the toys section of the large department store, the two boys were walking out of the groceries section with a bag of snacks each when suddenly Yeonjun stopped, "Binnie, I'll just go get one more thing and be right back, alright?"

"What-"

But before Soobin could say anything, Yeonjun thrust the bag he was holding to the younger and ran off back inside to the food section, leaving the younger confused.

Soobin blinked in confusion but sat down on the bench outside as he waited for Yeonjun.

When Yeonjun walked out of the store with what seemed to be a box in a plastic bag, Soobin gestured to it asking, "Hyung, what's that?"

"Ohh wouldn't you like to know," Yeonjun teased as he took a bag from Soobin and walked on, "Let's go then."

Soobin quickly stood up and followed the older, trying to peek inside the mysterious bag, "Hyung, what'd you buy?"

Yeonjun switched the bags in his hands so the one with the box would be away from Soobin, "I wonder what I bought ohhh. Anyway, are we going to yours or mine?"

"Can we go to mine?"

"Sure."

"Hyung, can I see what you got?" Soobin walked around to the older's other side, trying to grab the bag from him.

"Maybe you can't," Yeonjun joked in a singsong voice, running a few steps away from the younger.

"Hyung c'mon!" Soobin caught up.

"How about this? You'll find out soon if you quit on it for now."

Soobin stuck out his tongue at the older, "How about this? No?"

Yeonjun laughed as he reached to ruffle the younger's soft dark hair, "You're so cute."

Soobin pouted, "I'm not talking to you until you show it to me."

"Ohhh a threat!" Yeonjun chuckled.

"I really won't!"

"Sure!"

Soobin scoffed, "You wouldn't want to make me, hyung!"

"Wow I'm so scared. Oh no," Yeonjun teased.

"You should be!"

"I am!"

Soobin glared at the older, trying to keep a straight face but bursting into laughter after Yeonjun glared back in a funny, exaggerated way.

They were now almost at Soobin's house when they walked past a tree. "It's winter now," Yeonjun said, looking at the tree.

Soobin followed the older's eyes to the now barren tree which had bloomed pretty pink flowers last spring. Deciding to tease the older, Soobin replied, "Nice observation hyung!"

Yeonjun playfully hit the younger's head.

"Spring was fun," Soobin breathed, looking at the now leafless tree and feeling a wave of nostalgia hit him.

"The flowers were pretty, weren't they Binnie?"

"Yeah. I had a lot of fun during spring thanks to you, hyung. Thank you."

"I had a lot of fun too, Binnie. Thanks- Thank you to you too."

Soobin glanced at the older who seemed to be tearing up.

Worried, Soobin put a hand on the older's shoulder, "Hyung? You alright?"

"Yeah. I just miss those times. It was fun, fun with you, because of you."

"Aww! Hyung," Soobin engulfed the older into a hug and the older too wrapped his arms around the younger, placing his head on the younger's shoulder. And for a while it was just them, in the street with the cold blows of wind and the sound of plastic bags rustling against each other as they enjoyed the other's warmth.

When a particularly strong gust of cold wind blew, almost blowing Soobin's woolen hat away, they pulled away from each other.

"It's cold here," Yeonjun giggled.

"Let's go in quick, hyung," Soobin smiled, taking the older's wrist and running towards his house a few steps away.

As per usual, Soobin's house was empty with his parents at work and brothers busy with friends or school. After Soobin got them a cup of cocoa each, they went to Soobin's room. They cozied up against each other, the warm cup of chocolaty goodness in their hands, the bags of snacks sitting next to them and the warmth of the other's company giving them comfort. Soobin chose the first movie, Howl's Moving Castle and they drifted away to the wonderful world of fantasy as the sun slowly set outside the window.
