XXVIII

As the game continued, Taehyun dared Beomgyu to kiss him while the others squealed, Kai asked Beomgyu what he'd had for dinner the night before out of sheer boredom and then it was Soobin's turn.

Soobin spun the bottle, slightly anxious. As someone who'd never played the game before Soobin didn't know what kind of dares or questions people usually gave and had been content enough seeing his friends assign them instead, but now it was inevitably his turn. The bottle landed on Yeonjun.

When Soobin just froze and didn't ask if the older was picking truth or dare, Yeonjun spoke up, "I choose dare, Soobinnie."

Soobin quickly racked his head for possible dares he could give, his head was empty. Seeing that Soobin was struggling, Kai spoke up, "just get him to do whatever hyung. It doesn't even have to be anything interesting."

"You could also just tell him to go home, hyung," Beomgyu laughed.

"Or tell him to get some more chips from the pantry," Taehyun added, eating the last chip.

When Soobin still stayed quiet, anxiety painting his face, Beomgyu piped up, "you can also just copy the old dares, hyung."

Thinking about how the last dare had been for a kiss from Taehyun to Beomgyu, Soobin got into more of a panic, "yeah, I dare you to kiss me. I-I  mean, dare you to kiss Taehyun."

As soon as the words left him mouth, everyone was quiet, what had even just happened?

"What?!" Taehyun and Yeonjun asked in unison, confusion written all over their faces.

"I mean, Beom-Beomgyu said we could repeat old dares and-"

"Technically I had said, 'I dare you to kiss me' to Beomgyu," Taehyun said, using bunny ears on the quote.

"Yeah dude, what the hell?" Beomgyu complained.

"Anyway, there's no way I'm getting kissed by Yeonjun," Taehyun folded his arms stubbornly.

"Hey! What? I'm not even going to kiss you," Yeonjun retorted.

"Thank God,"  Taehyun sighed.

There was another silence as Kai and Beomgyu just looked at the others while Soobin just played with his fingers with his gaze down and Yeonjun and Taehyun looked at each other warily, their guard up.

"Well...?" Kai asked.

"Soobin give me a pass," Beomgyu stretched his palm towards Soobin.

"Huh?" Soobin gave a confused look, face still red with embarrassment.

"Your dare, pass it to me. Let me dare Yeonjunnie-hyung to do something."

"Oh sure," Soobin quickly said, hitting Beomgyu's palm lightly with his own.

"Well, I got ruling rights now," Beomgyu flashed a cheeky smile to Yeonjun.

Yeonjun narrowed his eyes at Beomgyu with an amused smile, "hey isn't this unfair?"

"Nope!" Kai said with smiling eyes, enjoying the fun.

Yeonjun looked at Taehyun for help.

"Not unfair at all," Taehyun too gave a sweet-looking innocent smile.

Beomgyu smirked, "Whoop whoop!"

"What's my dare, Beomgyu?" Yeonjun asked Beomgyu with an unimpressed smile.

"Call me hyung for the whole of next week."

"Now what?" Yeonjun spluttered in disbelief while the others laughed.

"That'll have to be 'now what, Beomgyu-hyung,' yeonjunnie."

Kai gave Beomgyu a high five as everyone laughed, well everyone besides Yeonjun.

"It isn't even your legitimate turn to dare me," Yeonjun argued in disbelief.

"It's just an honorific, hyung," Kai laughed.

"Okay, okay. If Soobin-hyung thinks it's fine then you need to do it, how about that?" Beomgyu negotiated.

"Nooo. Only Soobinnie gets to dare me. If he doesn't have anything he wants me to do then he can just dare me to do nothing," Yeonjun persisted.

"Okay, I'll dare you then, hyung," Soobin gave in with a chuckle.

Beomgyu frowned. Yeonjun's face lit up.

"I dare you to call Beomgyu hyung for the whole of next week."

"Nice game plan!" Beomgyu and Kai cheered, giving a high five to Soobin each. Taehyun laughed while Yeonjun fake-cried and yelled about how unfair the world was.
