It was the next day, the boys were were sleepily eating breakfast from the hotel buffet. The day was to be another day of exploring heritage sites: the Thumuli park and a few museums.
As the boys filed into the bus after breakfast, Yeonjun and Beomgyu were immersed in a discussion debating pokemons, Kai and Soobin were having a conversation of their own as Taehyun lazily let his boyfriend drag him into the bus.
"Hyung, do you feel well-rested? Better today?" Kai asked as he took the window seat.
"Yeah, don't worry c'mon. I'm good," Soobin replied, sitting down besides the younger.
As Yeonjun, Beomgyu and Taehyun also joined them, the rest of the bus ride consisted of Kai and Soobin bonding over a game of watching the city from the bus window and guessing what each person was doing on the day.
Getting off at the stop, Kai and Soobin walked in a pair while Yeonjun, Beomgyu and Taehyun walked around in a group of three while they looked around at the refreshing greenery and fascinating tombs, noting down information as the guide narrated background information regarding the place.
Kai was more immersed in taking pictures than writing and Soobin nudged him, "Dude, you need to take notes. What'll you write in your reflection report?"
"Soobinnie-hyung will share his notes, won't he?" Kai replied cheekily, acting cute.
"Yeah, as if."
Kai took a deep breath and dramatically sighed, "You won't? Even after all we've been through? I thought we were together till death do us part!"
Soobin laughed, replying in a joking manner, "I won't. You need to be responsible for your own work."
The teacher gave a look at the two and cleared his throat, Soobin straightened up, mouthing a "sorry, sir."
"I'll share my pictures with you, hyung," Kai offered in a whisper.
Soobin whispered back sharply, "No, shush now."
As the team was lead around the park, Soobin and Kai were mostly at the back of the pack, taking in the beauty of the place and enjoying the leisurely walk.
"Hyung, it's a grand deal. You share the notes, I'll share my pictures."
"I can find the pictures on the internet easy-peasy," Soobin countered.
After the visit around the park was over and the boys returned to the bus to go to the next decision, Soobin peaked at Yeonjun's notebook besides him, "Wow hyung, you've written a lot."
"Not really, it's just the gist of all the things the guide said," Yeonjun replied.
"Nah for real, Jun-hyung basically transcribed everything the dude said," Beomgyu interjected.
"Hyung, can I copy a bit of it? I missed out on the last few things because Kai was annoying me," Soobin asked Yeonjun.
"I distracted you? Wow what a thing to say to someone who kept you entertained the whole time," Kai dramatically retorted.
Soobin laughed, "Sure Kai, whatever floats your boat. So Jun-hyung, may I copy?"
"Yeah, of course Binnie," Yeonjun replied, ruffling through the younger's soft hair with a fond smile.
"Yay!" Soobin cheered.
Yeonjun gave his notebook to Soobin and helped Soobin understand everything the guide had said, explaining the stories in great detail as Soobin listened, wholly immersed.
Before long the boys were at their lunch spot before going to their other spots for the day. As the students walked into the restaurant, Soobin said to Yeonjun, "Wow it all makes sense now, thank you so much hyung."
"You don't have to thank me, Binnie," Yeonjun replied with a smile.
In the restaurant, as the students lined up to wash their hands before the meal, a boy, another student, shoved Soobin out of the way to go first, Soobin shook the hand off, not moving, "Hey what?"
"What?"
"Don't push? What the hell?"
The boy looked taken aback, "Huh? Geez alright."
The boy ended up going to the back of the line as Soobin washed his hands and followed his friends back to the table.
It was a delicious lunch before they headed out to their next destination, a museum. This time, Kai decided to take good notes.
"Hyung, if you missed out on any of the things, I've written down everything so don't hesitate to ask, alright?" Kai said to Soobin as they were walking back to the bus at the end of the day.
"Kai Kamal Huening wrote notes? Wow, let me see," Beomgyu commented, reaching for the notebook.
Kai hugged his notebook preciously, "And what about it, Gyu-hyung? Why are you so surprised?"
"You always get bored of writing or whatever, it's so nice to see you grow up," Beomgyu dramatized, wiping away imaginary tears.
"Our son has grown up," Taehyun added, joining Beomgyu and fake-crying too.
"Oh c'mon, you two!"
Soobin and Yeonjun just laughed.
"No, really. My notes are so good, all of you guys will be jealous!"
Soobin reached out to ruffle the younger's hair, "Alright, Kai. Thank you."
