After reaching home, Soobin quietly said a, "I'm back home," to himself as he lugged his bags in and headed to his room.

"Welcome back, baby!" Soobin's mother walked out to the hallway to greet her son and Soobin gave a polite smile from the stairs.

Soobin walked up to his room with a small smile and was about to enter his room when suddenly from the opposite door came out his brother Taeho, "Hey, welcome back."

"Hey. Thanks Taeho," Soobin replied before entering his room, only just wanting to rest for the next two days before school would start keeping him busy again.

It was a cold morning, the beginning of November, Soobin went to school as usual, happy to see his friends. As the end of the academic year was nearing, most classes consisted of the students receiving their final assignments and project works before the final exams.

After getting notified of their work to write reports on Gyeongju after their trip, the boys decided to work on the assignment together in the library and so spent the whole of the week going to the library everyday after school to work, sharing their pictures and notes.

It was soon Friday, the boys were walking home together after finally completing their reports and there was light chatter but mostly silence as the tired boys walked in the cold winter winds.

"Want to go to a café for some drinks? I could do with a warm drink right now," Beomgyu said as they saw a café emerge in their field of view just some steps ahead of them.

"Yes! Hot chocolate!" Kai cheered, skipping ahead to the place.

"Sure," Taehyun said as he and Beomgyu also ran to the café, Yeonjun and Soobin following them with warm smiles under their scarves.

The five boys settled in the corner table after getting their hot chocolate and two slices of cheesecake to share.

"This is nice," Soobin commented happily, taking a bite of the cake and humming happily to the sweet flavor.

"School is so hectic around the end of the year, I am tired," Beomgyu complained, laying his head on Taehyun's shoulder beside him as he relished the delicious hot chocolate.

"They're saying we're going to have to do a pair project work one more time. Ugh if it's not with one of you guys, I think I don't mind getting a failing grade for this one," Kai grumbled, angrily eating the cheesecake and earning chuckles from the rest of them.

And as the weekends faded into studying and revising all they had learnt this year, Monday came by and the boys received their partners for the project.

"Huening Kai and Kang Taehyun," Kai and Taehyun cheered, looking at each other with beams.

"Choi Beomgyu and Choi Yeonjun," both boys were happy, but also sad, as it would mean Soobin would have to team up with most likely, someone he didn't know too well.

"Choi Soobin and Lee Minho. Thank you class, best of luck for your last assignment this year."

Soobin had a tight smile as he sat besides the guy, Lee Minho.

"Hey," Soobin greeted the boy.

"Hey."

Though the boy seemed to be a person of not many words, Soobin managed to plan out the project with him in the class and they parted ways after class, planning to work on it together in the next day's class.

It was the next day, and they were back in class. They recieved time to sit together and work on their pair project and so the students all went to sit with their partners.

"Hey Soobin, I got this much done already so look over it and see if you think anything's not right, okay? I'm going to go for now but I've written my number here so text me if something's not right and I'll get it fixed by tomorrow. Cool, right?" Minho sat up and went to the other end of the class as Soobin just blinked at the stack of paper that had just been shoved in his hands.

Soobin sat down and looked through Minho's work as he realized that the work had been entirely one sided and didn't have the teamwork essence to it. They had divided the research work the day before hoping to do the writing in class but Minho had already made the draft which was very much lacking in diversity in perspectives on the topic. Soobin looked at Minho with a sigh, he was sitting next to two other boys across the room, seemingly trying to talk to one of them as the guy mostly just concentrated on his work.

Soobin sent a text to Minho.

C. Soobin: Hey, I think we need to make a few adjustments on the draft before it's perfect:)

Soobin watched Minho give a glance to his phone screen before going back to talking to the guy.

Soobin sighed and sent another message.

C. Soobin: Minho, come here and help me?

Minho once again, just gave a glance to the screen but made no effort to come back and neither to reply to the text.

Soobin got up, if the guy wasn't coming, he'd make him. Soobin walked over to the three boys, the guy Minho had been talking to looked up at him.

"See, Minho. I told you your partner would be annoyed if you didn't do your work. Now go," the boy said.

"If you would quit pestering him, we'd get our work done too, please leave," the boy's partner added.

"But I gave you my share of the work, didn't I Soobin?" Minho looked at Soobin, annoyed.

"Yes but that's not how this work is supposed to be done, it needs a lot of editing."

"Do it for me then. You're a nerd, aren't you? You like this type of stuff," Minho replied indignantly.

"No. We're doing it together, it's a pair work," Soobin countered, the guy was pissing him off.

Minho looked to be taken aback.

"We can hangout later if that's what you want, don't bother poor Soobin," the boy besides Minho said, pushing Minho.

Minho sighed, "Alright then. Let's go, Soobin. Bye Sungie, I'll see you later."

And so the two boys got to their table and fixed the draft, changing the content to match the work requirement and to accommodate the two contrasting viewpoints it asked for.

And after the last class of the week, Soobin was happy as he walked out the classroom to join his friends for lunch as he left Minho to go bother Jisung after they'd finally completed their work.
