Once your body hit the water, you immediately broke through the surface as your hands pointlessly grasped at the air. Your heart was racing frantically as your brain repeatedly told you this was not like that time from before.

Only a few inches under water, you immediately stick your head back out, having wet strands of hair stick to your face as you gasp for air. Praying that more than anything your trauma wouldn't kick you into full panic attack. If anything you were riding on the hope that it was only your fear of the dark that overrode your ability to function. Hearing distant yelling, a loud creak stole your attention as you looked above. While using your arms to keep you afloat, the overhead ceiling beam began falling out of the hole after you. Figuring it was the ceiling beam that caused your drop, it must've snapped under your weight on the ropes due to the years it's withstood from wood rot.

As the once micro pieces of wood from the haunted house were now turning into massive planks of wood as came closer plummeting down to you, "Oh fuck." Was all you said as you tried to swim out of the way from it. Causing you to accidentally swallow a mouthful of salt water as your left shoulder shot a shock of pain through your body when you attempted a full rotation with your left arm. Throbbing in raw pain as you could only really move through the water with your legs and right arm. Since Hobi did an excellent way of securing your upper thighs to give you proper balancing when you were climbing down, it turned into a double edge sword as it restricted your legs from making full kicks.

If you couldn't move out to the side, then you only had one other way. Taking a massive breath of air you began to swim down as fast as you could with one arm and thigh bounded legs. Thankfully you had the extra rope space to swim down without being restricted from its length, as the main rope that you used to climb down didn't snap itself. Feeling the water behind you aggressively rattle, you turned your head back to see the large broken support beam break the surface of the water. Sinking down at a similar pace to yours, you didn't manage to completely evade the falling debris as it tangled around the main piece of rope you were previously dangling down from, getting caught onto the rope which was enough to drag you down with it.

Noticing you were being pulled down, you immediately went to free yourself, only to pause as you saw that you were pulled closer down to where that body and bag was. You didn't feel any panic or fear kicking in, so for the moment you reluctantly let yourself sink even though you could feel how the closer to the bottom of the water the darker it grew.

Just suck it up, you can't go forever avoiding the dark. It's not like that time before so stop getting worked up. You told yourself as you did your best pushing past your limitations to focus on the task at hand. Managing so far to keep yourself from crippling at fear for the moment even though it was threatening to take over any moment now.

Reaching back to the waistband, you felt for your blade. Once you gripped it, you took it out and curled your upper body down to cut away at the rope bounding your upper thighs together.

Shit, this is thicker than I was expecting it to be. Cutting at it feverishly, you could make it out that you only got half way through cutting it. Wanting to avoid wasting breath and time, you moved onto the bag. Using your right arm to steer you over to the bones that were now scattered around from you and the beam. You reached out to the messenger bag, tugging on the strap a few times as it didn't budge since half of it was pinned under the support beam now.

As you went to cut the bag loose, you felt the water surface ripple and break once more. What fell in now, part of the pier flooring or did the rest of the rope snap?

Expecting more falling debris, you quickly looked back to where you saw a shadow approaching you. Squinting through the water, you realized the only reason whatever dropped into water was going straight for you was because it was someone swimming at you. Nearly letting out startled bubbles, you kept your lips sealed air tight as you managed to wave through the water at Jungkook. Once he spotted you from above, he practically cut through the water down to you like a great white gunning after a baby seal.
