Chapter 7: Jealous

Today was Cam's first football game. I'm so excited. I invited Chris and my mom and sister and Ashley is coming. Nayvadious is suppose to be coming. Finally.

"Wheewww CAM CAM!!!" Shavone cheered. She managed to bring Robin along with her.

"LETS GO BABY!!" I cheered.

"That's Pappas boy!!" My dad yelled.

"You guys are so embarrassing I swear. The game hasn't even started yet." My mom laughed.

I looked over and noticed Chris coming. I waved my hand to let him know where we were.

"I knew it." Shavone said looking at me.

"What?" I asked.

"You two." She said eating a nacho.

"Girl we are just friends."

"So were we." She said looking at the field.

"Hey." Chris said and sat next to me.

"Hi." I smiled.

"Did they start?"

I shook my head no.

"Good. Imma go get me some nachos okay."

I nodded.

A few minutes later Nayvadious came and he was by himself.

"Whassup y'all." He said smiling.

"Hmm." Ashley and Shavone said. MY mom and dad ignored him.

He sat down next to Me.

"They don't like me do they?"

"Neither do I." I said looking at my phone.

Chris finally came back and Sat next to me.

Nayvadious looked him up and down and back at the field.

"TOUCHDOWN!!!!" I yelled cheering.

"You like football?" Chris asked smiling.

"Nah. Not really."

"Yeah right you probably like ah secret football player or something." He smiled.

I laughed.

"No."

Nayvadious cleared his throat and I looked at him.

"Can I see you for a minute?"

I rolled my eyes. "I'll be back."

We walked to another part of the park.

"What?" I said crossing my arms.

"You ain't have to be rude. What was that?"

"What was what?"

"You go with Chris?"

"Why?"

"I seen the Michael and Kelly show the other day and from what I see now You two definitely have something going on."

"Are you jealous?"

He laughed.

"Me jealous? Never."

"Yes you are. I don't see why, it's not like we're together. He's just my friend. And we happen to be really close."

"You know I can see the--"

I rolled my eyes and walked off.

"Good job cammy!" I smiled hugging him.

"You did amazing. Especially when you gave them a touchdown at the last minute." Shavone said.

"Thank you." He smiled.

"Congratulations Cam Cam." Chris said patting his back.

"Thanks Chris." He smiled.

"What you wanna do to celebrate your first win?" My dad asked picking him up.

"Ice cream!" He smiled.

"Lets go!"

"Imma meet you guys at the house I gotta make a quick stop." I said handing them his bag.

They nodded and walked off.

I tucked him in his bed and kissed his forehead.

"Mommy can me you and Chris go out one day? I really like him around."

I thought about it for a minute.

"Yeah. We can make something happen. But for right now, You need to get some sleep so you can get stronger."

He smiled.

"Okay." He nodded and turned over.

I turned his light off and went into my room.

I laid down and sent a quick text to Chris.

To:
        Breezy ❤

Goodnight. Call me tomorrow. Gnight.

I turned over and laughed at how jealous Nayvadious was today.

Me and Chris are Just friends that's all.
