Chapter 9: Falling

Chris

I was chilling with keeis and Mijo in my man cave. Since Mijo was married and Keeis had a girlfriend, I thought I could talk to them about Amara. I don't know how I feel about us maybe they can help me.

We was listening to some songs off my X album and smoking.

It seems like all the Autumn

I turned it down and they head's shot up.

"Yo?" Mijo said.

"I need help."

"This song got you thinking huh?" Keeis said smiling.

"Shut up. I'm for real."

"I got you bro, what's up?"

I sighed. Mijo smacked his lips.

"Nigga sighing and what not. Sounding like drake." Him and Mijo laughed.

"Since that's funny gimme my stuff you smoking."

They stopped laughing and keeis cleared his throat.

"So what seems to be the problem?"

"Its this girl right...." I started.

"Here we go with this hight school stuff again man." Mijo said laughing. "First it was Shawniece, the girl had you sprung, she took almost 45g's and all yo jewelry and left. Then it was Karruechae. She was nice and sweet, then she messed around with Drake so you say, after her was Nikki. Yall was cute but then she started partying and what not, then after she miscarried y'all went downhill, now it's..." he paused waiting for me to continue.

"Amara." I spoke blowing out.

"Body party Amara?" Keeis asked choking.

"Yeah. Her."

"Future ex wife?" Mijo asked still shocked.

"Yeah."

"Good luck." Keeis said dusting his pants off.

"Yeah man. She too fine for you."

"And plus her dad is like.... her body guard." Keeis said laying his head back.

"Keeis shut up. Don't listen to him. He ain't no body guard. He used to be a cop or something." Mijo said.

I sighed. These nigga ain't helping.

"Can y'all listen please?"

"Talk."

"I never thought about us being like boyfriend girlfriend type... until the show interview. Now I can't stop thinking about her. She is beautiful but I'm just confused."

"So what you saying is You think you falling for her but you don't really know how you feel at the same time?"Mijo asked.

"Yeah. That's exactly how I feel."

"You got a bad case of whimperitis." Keeis said laughing.

"Shut up!" We both said.

"Look man, I know how you feel cause I felt the same way with Lauren." Mijo said shaking his head.

"Ion know how you got that bad bad." Keeis said laughing.

"Its called love at first sight." Mijo said sitting back.

"She must have been blind."

I laughed.

"Yeah whatever." He said laughing.

"If you really like her Chris you would know. You would feel some type of way around her. And you treat her differently. Way different than you treated Nikki. And you treated her like a princess." Mijo said puffing another hit.

"You right." I said sitting back.

He right. And I definitely have been treating Amara different.

Amara

I was getting ready to go to pick up Cameron from my parents house. I just left dance rehearsal for my video shoot.

I knocked on the door and waited for somebody to come answer it.

"Hey." My mom smiled.

I smiled and walked in.

"Hey ma. Where is my cam cam?" I asked sitting at the kitchen table.

"He's upstairs with Keenan." She said sitting down across from me. "How was practice?"

I sighed. "It was good. I just had a lot on my mind."

"Like....."

"About what you said at the game."

"What? Cameron's gonna be a pro?"

"Nah, moving on."

"What about it?"

"Me and Chris have been hanging out a lot lately but I don't really know how I feel about him." I said laying ny head on my arm.

"You would know how you feel about him. You would feel.... safe and secure."

I opened my mouth to speak but she stopped me.

"Not the same security you felt with Nayvadious.

I closed my mouth and sighed.

"You would feel like the wall went down. Trust me, You will know."

I nodded.

"Thank you mommy."

"MOMMY!" Cameron came running down the stairs stopping me from talking to my mama.

"Yeah baby?" I said picking him up.

"Do babies come from eggs?"

I looked at him with a confused face.

"Who told you that?" I asked.

He pointed at Keenan.

Keenan was my little brother. He stayed back and went to college to pursue his photographic career. This is his senior year in College and I couldn't be more proud. As for my mom and dad on the other hand, they wanted to him to be married with kids and in his own house.

We looked at Keenan.

"Keenan really?" I said putting Cameron down.

"He asked." He said shrugging.

"Cam Cam go get your things so we can go."

He ran up the stairs and came back down.

"Mommy can we call Chris when we get home?" He asked.

I smiled.

"Yeah let's go."
