The Source of My Strength

Chapter 2

The first day of training was ended a little early due to All Might having to leave and do some prep for classes tomorrow. Both Izuku and Ochaco are pretty tired but they'll be fine to walk back and decide to go together.

Man, That training was a little difficult but thankfully it's over and we still have time before curfew. Maybe I'll get some food, I'm getting hungry.

"What are you thinking about Deku?" Ochaco asked noticing he was lost in thought. "Oh, nothing just thankful the training is over. Oh! And i was wondering, wanna go get some food? There's this new American fast food place that I've wanted to try." Izuku replied kind of hoping she says yes.

"Sure! How far is it?" Ochaco seemed excited making Izuku kind of happy. "Not far it's kinda on the way but we do need to take a slight detour but it should be fine since we have time before curfew."

Wait, what am I doing? Did I just ask her on a date? No, we're just friends going to get food after training. Should I pay? Does she think that I'm asking her on a date? Would she think I was asking if I paid? What if sh-

"Deku, you ok?" After Ochaco asked this Izuku realized he was mumbling all of this but thankfully she didn't understand any of it. "Oh yeah, sorry. I was just thinking about some stuff." Izuku said, scratching the back of his head. "Ok, how far are we?" When she asked that he realized how close they are. "Oh, actually it's right around the corner."

As they turn the corner the restaurant appears in their sight. As they approached, Ochaco looks at her pocket and decides that she won't buy anything because she doesn't have enough money. Izuku notices her look down and figures out why very quickly. They make it inside and Ochaco has to go to the bathroom. Weirdly enough there's no line so Izuku is able to order quickly. He orders his thing and the same for Ochaco and pays for it all. She leaves the bathroom and heads to Izuku.

"Hey Deku, did you order already?" She asked hoping he won't make her order, she was pretty hungry but she has to save. "Oh yeah, and I got the same for you, since I figured you should probably save for your family considering you said you guys didn't have enough money. And after how much help you were in training, I'm sure you're getting hungry." Izuku told her what he did and why he did it and she couldn't help but to smile and hug him. As soon as she did he turned bright red because a girl was hugging him. A few seconds later she realized what she was doing and turned the same shade of red. She jumped back, letting go of Izuku partly embarrassed and partly still happy and admiring how sweet Izuku is. It was silent for a minute until they heard someone at the counter yell Izukus last name. "Order for Midoriya!" She yelled holding two bags of food.

"Thank you very much!" Izuku told her happy she broke the silence and to finally have food. He grabbed it and Ochako noticed the food was in bags, "hey Deku, how about we eat some here? Since it seems we are both pretty hungry." As she said that, both of their stomachs growled. "Yeah, that's a good idea."

The two of them sat down and started eating. They ate for a minute in silence but Ochaco eventually spoke. "So. Are you noticing anything happening with your training? Like, quirk wise?" She asked kind of trying to make it less awkward after the hug.

"Yeah, honestly you're a huge help. I don't think i would be getting so far in just one day if i didn't have you to help me out. So thank you!" As he said that she started to blush a little. "Oh Deku, you don't have to say that. I know I'm not THAT big of a help." She said kind of hoping he disagrees. And he does exactly what she hopes for. "That's not true, without you, or anyone else, I wouldn't be as far as I am now with my qurik. It has really grown this past year and i have you and all of our classmates to thank for that." He said smiling wide making Ochaco look at him with a slight blush and completely fall for his smile making her speechless.

Why is she staring at me for this long? Is it what I said?

"Um. Uraraka? You ok?" He asked kind of getting concerned but also snapping her out of her trance. She suddenly got bright red. "Oh! Yeah of course Deku! You're just so sweet is all. But I'm ok. Anyway. Isn't it getting a little late? We should start heading out!" Ochaco said very flustered and finding an excuse to leave. But in that moment she wanted nothing more than to stay and kiss Izuku. But she can't. Mostly because they aren't together.

"Shit, you're right! We should go now actually!" Izuku suddenly seemed really flustered when he looked at his watch. She looked at the time on her phone and realized why. They quickly got their things together. Threw away their trash and ran out the doors. As they ran, Ochako quickly remembered how much she used her quirk and felt a little nauseous. Now that she ate the effects of her quirk are somewhat coming back so she stopped. Izuku slowed down and waited.

"You ok? Want me to carry you?" Izuku asked concerned for her.

~~~Ochacos POV~~~

Carry me?! Is he crazy?! If he did that I wouldn't be able to keep myself together. Especially after that hug. But it would be nice. Since I DO feel pretty sick right now. But if h-

Before she can finish her thought she sees Izuku crouch infront of her with his back facing her. Offering a piggyback ride. "Hop on." He said with confidence. "O-ok." Ochaco wasn't sure how to react since she was just cut off from thinking and her mind became completely blank when she noticed he was serious about the ride.

She climbed onto his back and they continued to walk back to the dorms with Ochaco riding on Izuku.

I never realized how sculpted Deku really is. I wonder how much work it took him to get like this. Since I notice that sometimes he trains on his freetime too. Maybe I can train a little with him, since i still need help with my fighting. Just because I wanna be a rescue hero doesn't mean I won't have to fight after all. And it would be nice to try and catch up to Deku.

Izuku noticed she was lost in thought and broke the silence. "So was that your quirks effects acting up? You not feeling good anyway." He asked knowing the answer but couldn't think of anything. "Oh. Yeah it was. I'm feeling a little better but I am still a little nauseous." Ochako said not wanting to get down from his back since she enjoyed holding onto Izuku like that. "Ok well I'll let you down when we make it to the dorms. It's past curfew so we'll need to sneak in." She was now dreading the moment they make it to the dorms.

~~~Izukus POV~~~

This is kind of weird. First she hugged me at the restaurant now I'm carrying back to the dorms. It's not weird that she did that but I've never had this much contact with a girl unless it was a fight or my mom being worried or seeing my broken arms. It's nice though. I like it.

They finally make it to the dorms an hour after curfew. Though it felt like 10 minutes to the two teenagers. "Ok, we're here. Let's try to do this without Mr.Aizawa noticing." Izuku said hoping everything goes somewhat smoothly.
