Chapter 39

The day of the raid on the nomu base was just around the corner so the Manual agency started staying with the Hawks agency until the raid comes. Meaning, Ochaco and Izuku have time to hang out so they decided to go on a date since they haven't in a while.

Izuku is waiting outside the agency building for Ochaco. He is wearing a flannel unbuttoned with the sleeves rolled up. He also has a white tee shirt underneath, with jeans and his signature red shoes.

After a few more minutes of waiting, Ochaco came out with a nice yellow sundress, her hair was up and she was wearing black shoes, she also had a basket in her left hand. "Hey Deku, sorry I'm a little late." She said with a smile that makes Izukus heart melt everytime. "It's ok Ochaco, let's go." Izuku replied.

Ochaco wrapped her arm around Izukus and they started walking. "How's your training going Deku?" Ochaco asked. "It's alright. We've made progress with my flying. But not much with the whole clear my mind thing. How about you Ochaco?" Izuku asked back.

"It's great! I can hold myself up with my quirk for 5 minutes without feeling nauseous. Including a box and another person." Ochaco said very proud of herself. "Damn, maybe we can combine our quirks so you can make me faster with my flight." Izuku said starting to think of combination attacks.

"Deku, do you ever think of something other than hero work. But I do admit, it's kinda cute." Ochaco said before winking. "Oh, sorry. Have you been in contact with your parents?" Izuku asked trying to see how they've been.

"Yeah, they're doing good. They asked how you were doing since they saw the news of you protecting children from a collapsing building." She said making Izuku smile.

Well, atleast they like me.

"Speaking of which, do you know how the building got that damaged?" Ochaco asked. "I'm not entirely sure, I believe it's from my fight vs the weaker nomu. You see, I hit it and used my black whip to slam it into the building. If it's the same building then that's the reason. I thought the building was empty but turns out it wasn't." Izuku answered like it was an interview making Ochaco giggle a little bit.

"Well, atleast you're safe." She replied and they made it to the park. They maoe it to a clear spot and set up a blanket. They put down the basket and take a seat on the blanket while taking food out of the basket.

"Hey Deku, what do you want for your birthday? Since it's next month." Ochaco asked. "I don't want anything to be honest, just being with you would be enough." Izuku said while smiling. "Awww, Deku." Ochaco said before going in for a kiss on the cheek.

"But still, I'm going to get you something. Abd it would help a lot if you told me what you wanted." Ochaco said, knowing he won't say he wants something. "Let me think about it and I'll get back to you, ok?" Izuku said with a smile. Ochaco nodded in response and they contacted eating.

"Are you nervous for tomorrow Deku?" Ochaco asked, still trying to calm her nerves. "To be honest, I was but now that I know that you'll be there to support me, I feel like there's nothing I can't do. Tomorrow should be a piece of cake since it'll be the two of us there." Izuku said making Ochaco smile.

"Yeah! The league better watch out, cause when IzuOcha teams up, there's nothing that can stop us!" Ochaco said now fully confident. "Do you think that you can do this easier than when you fought the other two nomu?" Ochaco asked.

"Well, I haven't gotten physically stronger, but I'm adapting better with my quirk. And my reaction time has gotten a lot better now that I'm working on that more. And i won't have to worry as much on civilians this time so hopefully I won't break anything." Izuku said.

I probably sound very confident. Truth is, I'm terrified. Not for me, but for Ochaco. Her protection comes first, no matter what.

The couple finish their food so they sit and talk for a while longer before packing up and heading back to the agency. They make it back and start preparing themselves for the raid.

It's midnight and Izuku is laying awake in bed. He can't sleep and he suddenly hears a knock on his door. Izuku gets up and opens the door to see Ochaco standing there.

"Hey Deku, I couldn't sleep, can I come in?" She said with the cutest look on her face. "Sure." Izuku said while moving out of the way to let her in. He shut the door behind them and Ochaco hugged Izuku when the door was fully shut.

"Deku, I'm scared. Not for me but for you." Ochaco admitted while still hugging Izuku. "Why?" He asked in response. "Because you ended up in the hospital the last time you fought these things." She said with tears starting to roll down her cheeks.

So this is what she's worried about, me hurting myself. It's a fair thing to be scared off, but these thjngs are tough.

"Deku, I want you to promise me that you will be careful and not break yourself. Got it?" Ochaco said now whiping the tears away. "It will be tough, but I will try." Izuku said in response, but Ochaco makes a pouty face. "Promise?" She said.

"I promise."
