Chapter 31

The class met up at the beach, though only a few showed up. Iida, Kirishima, Kaminari, Todoroki, Mina, Momo, Jirou, and Tsuyu all came. When Izuku and Ochaco showed up, the class was already there. "Bout time you guys!" Kirishima said waving to the couple. Izuku waved back and the two started jogging to their friends.

"Hey guys, sorry we're late." Izuku said smiling at his friends. "It's no problem Midoriya, now. Let's have some fun!" Iida said, surprising everyone.

"Woah, Iida, did you just say 'let's have fun'?" Ochaco said with a surprised look on her face. "Is it that surprising? You need to stop and have fun sometimes before you start training again." Iida said making Izuku frown a little.

I guess that's what I should've thought about when my mom and Ochaco said that same thing.

"Anyway guys, we had Momo make a net and ball, you guys wanna play some volleyball?" Jirou asked. "Ok, let's make teams! The two strongest here?" Kaminari said pointing to himself and Todoroki. "Um, Kaminari, you DO realize that Midoriya is stronger than both you and Todoroki, right?" Jirou said making everyone laugh.

"Actually Jirou, I think Todoroki is stronger than Midoriya. I mean, did you even watch the sports festival?" Momo said, defending Todoroki. "Yeah, but we've all gotten stronger since then." Kirishima said. "That's true but I still think Todoroki is better." Momo said.

"Then let's settle it today! Deku will be the first captain and Todoroki will be the second. They'll pick teams and the best man wins." Ochaco said with a smile while hugging Izukus arm.

She's just too adorable to disagree with.

"Ok, I'm down for a friendly competition. What about you Todoroki?" Izuku asked looking at his friend. "If Midoriya is ok with it then so am I." Todoroki said smiling.

Izuku and Todoroki stand next to each other while the others stand in a line. "Are we able to use our quirks?" Izuku asked. "I don't see why not. Just no massive Ice walls blocking the net Todoroki." Mina said. "Ok, then I have a strategy. I'll pick Ochaco first." Izuku said making everyone doubt it's from a plan.

This may seem like I'm picking favorites, which is good.

"Ok, Momo." Todoroki said pointing to the girl. Now Ochaco and Momo are behind their respective captains. "Iida." Izuku said, still trying to make it seem like he's picking favorites. "Hey Midoriya, you sure this is a plan? It seems you're choosing favorites." Kaminari said. Izuku just shrugged and smiled. "Ashido." Todoroki said.

I wonder what Todorokis plan is, so far he has people who seem to be best with quick recovery and keeping the ball up but none to bring it to the ground quickly.

"Hmmmm. How about, Tsu." Izuku said. "Kirishima." Todoroki chose. "Jirou will be my final pick. And that just leaves Kaminari to go on your side." Izuku said with a smirk. "Why am I the one that's picked last." Kaminari sulked as he walked to Todoroki.

Ok, that went much better then I could've hoped for. Now I just need to let everyone know what my plan is.

The two teams went to their sides of the net and huddled up. Izukus team had Ochaco, Iida, Jirou, and Tsu. While Todorokis team had Kirishima, Momo, Kaminari, and Mina.

"Ok, so here's the plan." Izuku whispered to his team. "Iida, and I will be in the front. Ochaco, and Tsu are going to be in the back making sure the ball avoids the ground. Ochaco, if you hit the ball make sure to activate your quirk. Once the ball is over me or Iida release, but use your best judgment on if you want to release it over us or the other side. Jirou will serve." Izuku said and everyone nodded before they broke the huddle and readied up. Todorokis team broke their huddle after Izukus team.

"Are you ready Midoriya?" Todoroki asked. "I'm as ready as I've ever been." Izuku said and Todorokis team served first. The ball went to Izuku who attacked to spike the ball but Kirishima saved it and passed it to Todoroki who hit the ball to the next side.

"Tsu! That's you!" Ochaco said while Tsuyu extended her tongue and saved the ball. The ball flew up and Ochaco went to hit it but before she could, her feet got stuck. She looked down and saw Todoroki froze the ground, making their feet stick to it. The ball then hit the ground, giving Todorokis team a point.

"That's cheating!" Ochaco sulked. "You said we can use our quirks." Mina said, shrugging her shoulders. "It's ok Ochaco, we got this." Izuku said, getting more excited. Todoroki melted the ice and the next round began.

Jirou served this time and launched it to the back where Mina stood. Mina shot low consistency acid at the ball and made it fly over the net and Izuku jumped and hit it with a 15% smash, spiking it into the ground. The score was now 1-1.

"Good job Midoriya." Iida said, patting his friend on the back. The game went on until the score was 4-4. "What do you guys think, game until 5?" Tsu asked her friends. "Yeah, that works." Mina said with a smile. Todorokis team served the final serve. The ball was hit to Izukus side but flew over his head to Ochaco. Todoroki attempted to freeze the ground but Jirou stopped the ice with her sound waves.

Ochaco hit the ball and made it float. The ball floated towards the other side. Iida then jumped and used a Recipro Burst to kick the ball down at the same time as Ochaco releasing her quirk. But Iida missed aimed and hit Kaminari in the head with the ball and made it bounce back to the other side. Tsu hit the ball and Izuku hit it with another 15% spike but this time, Momo hit it just in time, passing it to Kirishima who spiked the ball. Tsu kept it from hitting the ground again and passed it to Jirou who hit it over the net again.

Todoroki hit the ball to the other side and Ochaco hit it again, passinig it to Izuku and making it float. Izuku then spiked the ball and Ochaco pretended to release her quirk. Mina dove to keep the ball from hitting the ground but the ball remained in the air since it was floating. Ochaco then released her quirk and made the ball drop and hit Minas head and Inevitably hit the ground. Izukus team wins.

"Dang it! Nice trick Ochaco." Mina congratulated her friend as she sulked. "Thanks Mina." Ochaco said smiling. "Nice job Midoriya." Todoroki said. "Yes, great job. Now can you freeze my engines to help my stall last less long." Iida said, stalled from his Recipro Burst, making everyone laugh.

The class just hung out for a few more hours before leaving. Todoroki, Momo, Izuku, and Ochaco walked out together back to the train. "So, Momo, when are you and Todoroki gonna get together?" Ochaco joked, making Momo blush. Izuku laughed and Todoroki wasn't entirely paying attention. "Hey Midoriya, when are we gonna have a rematch?" Todoroki asked, wondering about if he will get to fight this stronger Izuku. "I don't know. Maybe eventually." Izuku said, scratching the back of his head.

Wow, it seems like everyone wants to fight me recently, why is that?

The four students made it to the train and back to the dorms. Izuku and Ochaco went up to Ochacos room and sat on the bed.

"Well Deku, are you ready to meet my parents tomorrow?"
