I ran up to Lyn as soon as I got to work the next day, "Lyn I need to talk to you instantly." I urged, she nodded and Kelton joined us too to an empty corner.

"So I went for my lunch break yesterday, and someone called out my name on the street. It was my ex boyfriend, the one who cheated on me six years ago." The both gasped "what did you do? Did you punch him?" Kelton asked.

I shook my head, "no, we went to grab a coffee to talk about things and it turns out he's famous now ..." they both looked at me waiting for me to finish my sentence, "it turns out my ex changed his name after we broke up and is now Freddy Vale, and his first album was about me!" I exclaimed whilst whispering.

They obviously didn't believe me, I probably wouldn't either, "I'm serious! I don't want to see him anymore, especially not at work with my husband I have a rocky relationship with!" Lyn mustered you some words "wait are you serious?" I persistently nodded my head.

"How does that even happen?!" Kelton quietly shrieked, "I don't know!" I squealed in frustration, "I'm pretty sure he's coming in today..." Kelton added, what?!

Lyn nodded her head "he didn't sign yesterday and Ezra would only accept the contract if he came personally." He probably didn't come because of me, if Mr Reed knew that I obstructed business he'd be very mad with me.

I sighed "I'm sorry Lyn for ruining your dream of working with him, I'll just hide whenever he comes, that should work right?" They both nodded, "but are you going to Ezra about your history if this great plan doesn't work?" Kelton asked.

I shook my head "no way, he's just warming up to me. If James tells him about me he'll ship me back to England." Kelton smirked, "I doubt that, I mean how bad could you have been?"

I shot him a condescending look "the first day I met James I got drunk at a random bar with no friends, almost got into a fight with a bouncer, bought a bar and kissed a stranger." They both looked at each other and sighed "you'll like the London branch, one of my good friends still works there, I'll introduce him to you!" Kelton added jokingly.

I huffed and went down to the buildings ground floor to grab Mr Reed some lunch as he hadn't ate all day.

"Addy?" That dame annoying voice spoke my name again, I sighed as I saw James with a middle aged man who appeared to be his manager discreetly waving at me.

"Jon I'll catch you up to the meeting soon, I just want to talk to this person first." The manager rolled his eyes and left as I reluctantly sat down on a chair opposite him.

"Does your manager not like you?" I asked in a monotone voice, James shrugged "probably not, anyways did you listen to the album? What did you think?" He asked enthusiastically, I sighed "look James, what does it matter what I think? You have the reviews of everyone else on this earth, what does it matter what I think?"

He pouted "because it's you" he muttered, I rolled my eyes and looked down to Mr Reed's - now lukewarm - coffee and ham sandwich still in my hands. James looked down to where my eyes were aswell and he looked back to me surprised.

"You're married?!" He exclaimed, my eyes glistened - this was my chance to get rid of James' interest in my life. "Yeah," I said coyly, "it's been almost a year, we dated for two years before. Did you think I wouldn't move on from you?" James looked dismal and I felt bad for rubbing my 'happiness' in his face, but he needs to know that I don't think about him anymore.

"I'll get going first, I have to go back to work." I hurried back upstairs before James came up so that I could give Mr Reed his food.

"What's this?" Ezra looked up to me, "Umm, you didn't have breakfast this morning so I thought that you might be hungry by now." I muttered, he beamed a smile at me. "Thanks, how did you know how I like my coffee and sandwich?" I scoffed, "we've been living together for a couple months, of course I'm going to pick up on your mannerisms. But you should thank me more, I had to have a very awkward conversation for this."

Mr Reed put down his barely warm coffee "with who?" I tuned back to face him still pouting "my ex boyfriend, we ran into eachother in the coffee shop." He tunes his chair to look over to me.

"Do you still have feelings for him? I know what he did to you, but he must seem like a familiar thing you can cling to in this strange future ... if you want to see him more, I wouldn't be mad."

I searched his face to try and infer what his was thinking, he was emotionless but I could sense that he was hurt by his own words.

"You're a weird man, why would you let your wife get close to her ex boyfriend." I scoffed, his face was till blank "I took an oath when I married you to keep you happy, and if I can't do that right now but someone else can. Of course I would try whoever I could to make you happy."

For some reason I was hurt by his words even though they were supposed to be kind, I collected my thoughts before I spoke, knowing that what I would say next could potentially change our relationship.

"Do you want me to be close with my ex boyfriend?"
