We drove back home together after work finished for the day, Ezra didn't have to stay late tonight so it was a rare occasion that he could drive me back home himself.

"Are you hungry?" He asked as soon as we got back, I looked around the patio confused "is Mrs Johnson not here today?" I asked, Ezra shook his head cunningly.

"I'm cooking tonight." I burst out laughing, deflating his confidence, "can you cook? I don't want to have to go to the hospital for food poisoning." Ezra picked me up and carried me over to the kitchen and placed me down on one of the countertops.

"Just sit there and not do anything, I'm making my world famous spaghetti." He spoke whilst he set up all of his equipment, "isn't spaghetti one of the easiest meals to make?" He glared at me, "can you make it?"

I huffed "I've grown up with world class chefs at my beck and call, would you pick hand made food over that?" Ezra walked over to me and pecked my lips once again, "if you keep talking I'll go even further." I pouted, doing my best to restrain myself.

"This is actually really good!" I exclaimed with joy to my husband and we ate his meal in the dining room, he grinned "of course, I'm great at everything I do." I sighed at his over confidence.

"Are we going to the concert still tomorrow?" I asked him, he nodded "I missed a lot of work on the business trip but I'll do my best to finish by then." I nodded and went in for my second mouthful.

"Do you remember our second night in New York?" He asked, I blushed remembering the kiss, Ezra began to blush aswell realising what I was thinking about. "Not that part, but your conversation." I looked up at him wondering where he was going with this.

"You said that you didn't want to do anything you might regret until we figure out what we are exactly." I nodded still bashful thinking about that night.

"What do you want us to be?" He asked, I hadn't really given it much thought yet so I decided to say whatever was on my mind.

"For you we've been together for three years, but for me it's only been a couple weeks since I started to like you. And even though we're married I can't take a relationship that fast, I'm only eighteen. If we rush into things I'll feel like a teenager when I'm focusing on becoming an adult." I blurted, not really thinking about what I was saying.

"So what you're saying is that you want to take it slow because you want to be an adult, but you also want to savor our relationship." I nodded, "basically".

Ezra smiled "why do you want to grow up so fast? No one is expecting you to become an adult overnight, It's been ten years since I was eighteen and we're married, I'm not going to leave you if we sleep together. But I also won't pressure you to do anything that you don't want to do." I smiled back at him still bashful.

"Thank you, I'm not ready just yet to take another step, so just for tonight can you pretend that you're eighteen and you're on your first date with me." Ezra frowned at my words.

"Addison I don't think you know what's on an eighteen year old boys mind, I think it's best that I keep my twenty eight year old mindset." I frowned back at him, "that can't be all a teenage boy thinks of! Wouldn't they be shy aswell on their first date?"

Ezra broke his mean facade and smirked, "it's refreshing for you to still have the same pure mindset, I thought that you'd know more about the world as Addison Reed." He got up and grabbed our empty plates.

I went upstairs and washed up before getting into my bed, Ezra climbed in and snuggled up to me. "Don't you want to use the master bed yet?" He asked as he kissed my shoulder blade.

I shook my head as I turned to face him, "it still feels weird thinking about sleeping there, it feels like I'm cheating on myself." I muttered, "silly, I don't get your mindset but I don't mind sleeping in here with you until you feel comfortable." He responded before we both fell asleep.
