"Ezra?" I mumbled as he wrapped his arms around my torso, pulling himself closer to me."I checked your room but you were here, in our room" I turned turned around to face him in the dark room and pushed his hair behind his ear. "Of course we're married." I smiled. A tear fell onto my hand placed on his cheek.
"Is something wrong?" I asked, panicking over everything that ran into my head. He shook his head, "Wren told me that you two were kidnapped when you were younger." He mumbled, his voice cracking slightly.
I smiled again, chuckling slightly, "oh that, it was nothing, most people in my circle had an experience like that. Plus our hands and feet were only zip-wired for a couple days and we were fed well." Ezra pulled me into his chest and stoked my hair.
"That's nothing? That is something traumatic and you shouldn't just wave it off." I chuckled again, "thank you for your concern, but some people don't get out of those situations alive, and I've never experienced something like Charlotte did. It just feels like a bad dream some times, it doesn't hurt anymore and even if it does I have a great husband to help me." I patted his back.
"Addy?" Ezra called my name after calming down, "what is it?' I asked softly, "you don't have to keep going to the psychiatrist anymore if you don't want to, I pushed you to go there for myself, I didn't consider your feelings. I'm sorry." He mumbled.
I smiled again "what's with you today? You're normally brash and have to get your own way." I could feel Ezra's heart begin to beat rapidly, "is that how you see me? Should we travel somewhere then? Anywhere you want I won't complain." I leant my head to face up to him.
"See it's awkward when you try too hard, I don't want to go abroad or anywhere else, I just like moments like this with you. Even if I decide not to try to get my memories back I can still remember how I feel to be with you." Ezra smirked.
"So how do you feel when you're with me?" I looked away embarrassed, "you know." I mumbled into his chest, he shook his head "nope, I haven't heard it since that night in New York, you might've changed your mind." I rolled my eyes and pecked his lips, "is this good enough." He nodded before detaching his arms around my hips and placing himself on top of me, gently touching my lips once again.
It still feels weird to wake up in his arms in the morning, not only that but wearing his shirt while he's shirtless. I peaked through the blanket at his six pack, I seriously need to get my memories back to see how he began to like me. I poked one of his abs wondering if it was as rock hard as I confirmed it to be.
Ezra moaned and put his arm around me, kissing my forehead, "do you want a round two? This early?" He grinned still half asleep. I had under the blankets to hide my embarrassment, "we have work today..." I mumbled. "I'm the boss, I think my intern being an hour late is fine." I got up as he released me for a second.
"I'm Lyn's intern and James is coming in today to see the final design." Ezra groaned, "you better not see that guy again after this, he has a thing for you." I crawled back into the bed after putting on a dress. "Is Mr Reed jealous." I purred into his ear. "You better not get any closer." He mumbled.
"Why?" I asked confused, "because otherwise Lyn is going to be missing her intern all day." I tried to get up but Ezra grabbed my arm and pulled me under him. "You said that you would let me go!" I playfully squealed, "I lied." He smiled after kissing me to stop my rebellion.
I smiled back, wrapping my arms around his neck and he lent in closer for a deeper kiss this time...
"Hey Teddy, can I get a lift into LA with you two ..." Wren burst in, speaking before looking at us two.
I pushed Ezra onto the floor and hid under the blanket in embarrassment, Wren rushed out of the room and I lightly hit Ezra as he tried to kiss me again like my little brother didn't just walk in on us.
Breakfast wasn't any batter, Wren wouldn't look at either of us in embarrassment and I fixated on my toast to escape the situation. The only un-phased one out of the three of us was Ezra, who seems extra chirpy this morning.
"We should go now..." I blurted out quietly as I left to get into the car, Ezra joined me, practically bouncing. "Why are you so happy? Are you not embarrassed?" I whispered to him as Wren followed far behind us.
Ezra shrugged "we're all adults here and we're married, we were doing what married couples do." He cheekily whispered back as he strapped me into the front seat.
The car ride was awkward but finally the tension left as Wren left the car for his conference. I sighed in relief as I had escaped the awkwardness, only for Ezra to wrap his arm around my shoulder as we walked from the car lark to the escalator.
"We're we work now mr Reed, try to be more professional please." I sighed as we walked into the escalator luckily alone. "Why? Is showing affection for my wife not allowed at the workplace Mrs Reed?" He hummed.
"No it's not," I peeled his arm off of my shoulder, the worst part was that I wanted nothing more than just to stay wrapped up in his arms all day, but I need to be more independent if I want to be an adult. "Why are you being like this today?" I asked.
"Hmm I just realised that my wife is an awesome who deserves to be hugged all day." I couldn't help but smile at him when he said that to me. "I want that too, but we're at work at it'll make your employees uncomfortable mr Reed, so please get on with your work here and we can do that at home."
I smiled professionally as we exited the escalator and walked into the office.
~ Later that day Wren decided to stay at his friends place in LA to avoid that happening again ~
