The next Monday we headed to the kindergarten, it was a prestigious art school so luckily the kids weren't hanging off of the wall. "Ms Santana it's a pleasure meeting you, thank you for letting us work here." Lyn shook the principals hand, "it's always good to have visitors, especially ones that are here for the week, you're really helping out some of the teachers." We laughed politely.

"This is Ms Walters class, you'll be helping her out most as her assistant is on sick leave for a couple weeks." We greeted the teacher and settled down by the kids to see what type of artwork they liked.

"Thank you for your help." Mrs Walters day by us to have lunch, "it's fine, the kids are all so nice so it wasn't hard." Lyn replied, "I hope you'll be saying that by Friday, they're normally the best behaved on Mondays." We politely laughed hoping that what she said wasn't true, as we were both worn out by lunch time.

"Do either of you have kids?" She asked us, we both shook our heads "Addison and her husband are thinking about it soon." Lyn replied, mocking me for what I told the writer last week.

"You're married? You seem really young to start thinking about kids." Ms Walters responded, I nodded "I'm twenty five in a couple weeks, my husband is twenty eight but he's always wanted kids at a young age." Ms Walters widened her eyes "that's young now, do you have the savings for it?"

Lyn giggled knowing that my family were billionaires, "Addison actually comes off from a wealthy family, and her husband has a good job too. She's not worried about money, just being around kids, do you have any kids?" Lyn replied for me.

Ms Walters nodded, "I have a son but we're not on good terms so I doubt that I have any good advise for you about parenthood." Lyn and I looked at each other not knowing what to do with this uncomfortable atmosphere.

"What should we do with the kids later?" Lyn asked to break the awkwardness, "we normally read books after lunch then paintball afternoon." We nodded, hoping that would be easier than music lessons this morning.

"Is Lyn working?" Ms Walters asked me the next day at lunch, "yeah, she's trying to get a quiet moment to draw some of her ideas." She nodded, "I always love people that work in the arts, my son used to love drawing when he was young." She trailed off.

"How old is your son now?" I asked, she smiled "he's around thirty now, thinking about that makes me realise how old I am now." I smiled with her, I didn't want to ask her about her son as it seems like a touchy subject that we both don't want to talk about with someone we've known for a day so I decided to change the subject.

"How long have you been a teacher? I've only helped out for one day but I'm already exhausted." She laughed at me "really, you seem like a natural, the kids all like you." We laughed for a while before the room went silent again, "how did you get into teaching?" I asked.

She smiled thinking about the past "I don't really know, it just happened. I spent my twenties working at my family restaurant then I spent my thirties working part time jobs as a single mom, I remarried in my late forties after I got a stable office job, but I quit it after a while. I decided to take up art as a hobby and I decided to go to art school and eventually get a teaching qualification." She reminisced.

"Anyway, enough about me how did you work in graphic design?" I didn't want to tell her about my memory loss as again, we're strangers, so I decided just to tell her what I know. "My parents wanted me to study economics but I always liked graphic design and secretly worked on a portfolio, I got into a minor accident when I was eighteen so they let me study graphic design instead. I interned for my company as it was taking off six years ago and it seemed interesting."

She nodded, focusing on me talking, "well we should get ready for the next class, lunch is almost over." I sighed forgetting for a minute that a bunch of kids hellbent to destroy every canvas was incoming.

It was tough, but finally Friday rolled around and we were done.

"Thank you for your hard work!" Ms Walters thanked up, I shook my head "no it's fine, it was hard in the beginning but it was actually really fun." Lyn shook her head at me, not understanding how I had so much energy left.

"It was hard trying to control these kids without my TA, luckily they're coming back next week, but they've dropped my Friday after school art class." She sighed, Lyn glared at me shaking her head not to fall into the trap.

"I can help out if it's on a Friday, I don't work afternoons." I stuttered as I volunteered, Lyn was facepalming from the back of my eye whilst Ms Walters beamed a smile at me. "Would you? All the kids love you and you're great at playing with them!" She exclaimed.

I nodded, not really knowing what I was getting myself into.

"You're working at the school now?" Ezra asked me as we were getting ready to sleep that night, "yes, I didn't realise that I would volunteer myself on my afternoon off. But the teacher looked completely worn out with no help, it's only for a couple weeks though, another teacher said that they could help once they got off of their maternity leave."

Ezra got into bed with me, "are you okay though? You don't look so good, do you have a fever?" He asked me whilst checking my temperature with his hand and his other hand on his forehead to compare. "Maybe I'm just worn out, I've worked constantly these past couple weeks with Lyn."

Ezra sighed "kids also get colds easily, maybe you caught one." I snuggled up to him in bed "thank you for your concern Mr Reed but I would just like to go to sleep now."
