"Hey babe." I say brushing my fingers along his arm
"Hey?" he says confused
"So I was thinking that you know you gave me your contact number so we could connect later sometime and have fun, right?" I say batting my eye lashes, lustfully
"Yes I did." he admits
"So I was just thinking maybe we could do a little promo sort of thing right now." I say leaning into him
"I'm all yours baby." he says leaning further
I internally roll my eyes.
"So what do you have in mind?" I say holding his hands away so he doesn't wrap them around my waist
"Whatever you want sweetheart." he says and I lean further
"Some other time." I say with a hair flip and walk towards my friends leaving the poor guy all confused and flustered
"That was epic!" I say laughing and trying to catch my breath
"KELLY WINS!!" Ryder and Aiden cheer while the girls hoot
And this time I notice, Zeke is hooting and laughing too. Progress!
"That was actually fun. The guy. Oh my God. His reaction." I say in between breaths
I look over at Matt who has an amused expression on his face. I smile back and turn towards the girls.
"Wait a second, that guy looked familiar." I say seriously
"That's because you just bought ice-cream from him." GG replies
"No shit Sherlock. I think I've seen him somewhere before. Outside the mall." I clarify
"Oh you're just hallucinating." Aiden says
"Totally." Nat, Ly, Jo, Ryder and Zeke agree
"Ready to head home?" GG asks
"Actually, I've something to get so I'll see you guys tomorrow." I tell them
"What is it?" Nat asks
"Oh just a small gift." I say coolly
"Sure." Jo says while everybody stands up to leave
"See ya." I say and leave towards the direction of the kids section

"La la la la" I sing skipping through the kids section
"You're skipping? Aren't you the person who teases Grace for skipping?" a voice speaks, startling me
"Jeez! A warning would've been nice." I say putting my hand to my heart on reflex, trying to even my heartbeat to which he only chuckles
The oh so familiar face stands in front of me with a pleasant smile. God the smile is so peaceful. I could look at it all day and never get tired.

"You never fail to amuse me, precious." he says with a soft smile on his lips
"I'm one of a kind, ain't I?" I flip my hair and wink to which he chuckles, again
"So.." he drags
"So what?" I ask genuinely clueless
Clueless as always. My conscience spoke which I ignored.
"You were skipping." he says trying to hide his grin
"What so skipping is a crime now?" I deadpan
"No, it's just that one moment you're endlessly teasing someone because they're skipping and the next moment, you're doing it yourself." he says, his grin fully flashing on his God like face
"You tell anyone about this and you'll be dead." I say with a serious look while pointing my forefinger at him to make my point
Oh who am I even kidding. This guy could literally dump my dead body in the river and no one would ever find out.
He'd be a hot murderer though.
Oh shut it!
"I'd like to see you try." he says and I just roll my eyes at him
The level of arrogance I tell you.
"So you were skipping and you're shopping in the kids section for yourself?" he asks
"Who said I'm shopping for myself?" I ask walking ahead, looking through the clothes
"Then who?" he asks, following me
"And I should tell you because?" I speak without turning towards him
"I don't know." he says and now I look up to him and see he was genuinely just curious
Could I trust him?
You could. My conscience suggested
Nope, I'm not going to.
"So you are here because?" I ask, trying to change the topic
"Just because." he says with a look that screams 'two can play this game' but I just roll my eyes at him
"Cool." I say moving to the next aisle
"So when do you want to work on the project again?" I ask since the due date was coming closer
"Maybe the weekend?" he asks
"I'm not in town this weekend." I say
"Why?" he asks
"Do you have to know everything?" I huff
"No but I was just curious and I don't think the girls know about it either because if they did, they would've said something by now." he places his point
"Well I don't have to tell everyone everything." I huff, again
"No one's forcing you. It's just that, don't keep yourself too closed off." he say rather softly
"Speak for yourself." I snap and go to the billing counter
I got some sweatshirts and a couple soft toys for my sister since I'm visiting her this weekend.
I know there's nothing wrong in telling people about my family but I just like to keep them out of it.
I look back to see Matt but he's nowhere in sight. Guess he got fed up already, huh?
"Hey I got these too, they'll match with whatever you're buying for whoever." he says placing some comfy barbie slippers on the billing counter
I look at him wide-eyed. He didn't leave?
"I thought you left." I voice my thoughts
"I just saw those on the other aisle so I went to grab them." he says while I just hum too confused to speak a word
"Thanks." I say and leave the mall and walk towards the bus stop
What a day it was! I'm exhausted.
