"Ellyyyyy!!!" kitty screams and runs towards me as soon as my mom opens the entrance door and tackles me into a bear hug
"Hello cutiepie!" I exclaim back with the same level of excitement and spin her around making her laugh
"I MISSED YOU!" she huffs and crosses her arms, breaking the hug after I set her down
"Solly" I say in a baby voice, kneel down to her height, hold my ears and pout
"Fine I forgive you but this is your last chance okay?" she says trying to be bossy but she just looks so damn cute
"Thank you for your forgiveness, your highness." I say and bow, making her giggle
"Kelly?" I hear my mom say, walking out of the kitchen
"Mom." I say and hug her, tight
"How is dad?" I ask her after we break the hug
"The doctors say he'll get better in no time but I was so scared, I'm so sorry for calling you up. You must have been busy with school and I made you come here." she rambles
"Mom, relax. Dad will definitely get better and I'm here because I wanted to be here. Honestly, I would've been mad at you if you didn't tell me about dad's health and I found out from somewhere else." I say and give her shoulder a reassuring squeeze
I climb up the stairs to dad's room where he was resting.
I knock on the door and enter in.
"How are you holdin up, daddy?" I say as I walk to him and sit on the edge on the bed
"I'm way better now that I've seen you , princess." he says with a weak smile
"Always flattering me, huh?" I tease
"Of course. How long are you going to stay here?" he asks
"I'll be here for 3 more days for sure but then I have to go back since my exams are starting. But I'll be back as soon as they're over. It's gonna be summer break in a few weeks anyways. I'll still see your doctor and study your case. I'll stay longer if needed." I explain
"That won't be required, princess. I'm getting better and my recovery rate is good. I'll be healthy again in no time. You can go back and continue your school, sweetie." he says with a soft smile
"We'll see about that." I say softly
"I hope I didn't interrupt the father-daughter time." a very familiar voice spoke
