HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?!

Chp 58

We all drove to the beach in two different cars since we all obviously couldn't fit into one.

Dad, mum, Sam and Jen were in Jay's car while I was in the driver's seat of my car with Jay in shotgun and Matt and Kitty at the back as per Kitty's continuous requests of sitting beside Matt.

She's grown fond of him and his charm in the little while that she's known him and Matt seems to be completely different around her, always smiling.

He's smiling when he's around you too. My conscience teased but I ignored it.

During the whole ride, Matt had caught me at least 15 times staring at him and smiling when he talked to Kitty or Jay and would just look at me with amusement every time we locked eyes in the rear view mirror.

I would obviously look away when he would catch me looking at him, but I looked away maybe a little too quickly and that for sure must have made him suspicious. At least that's what I gathered from his expressions.

I didn't purposefully stare at him, it's just my eyes automatically went over to his reflection in the rear view mirror and his blue orbs kinda make it real hard to look away. 

Currently, Matt, Jay and kitty had gone for a swim and mum, dad, Sam and Jen were sunbathing while I was arranging all our food on the counter we'd set up.

"Can you get me a sandwich, honey?" Auntie Jen asks me

"Of cour-" I was cut off mid sentence and was thrown over someone's shoulders all I could see was a guy's ass

A nice, beautiful, sexy ass.

"The hell you think you're doing, Matthew Knight!?" I exclaim

"Taking you for a swim, precious." he says, cheekily 

"I swear to god if you throw me in the water, I will kil-" I was cut mid sentence, again and was thrown into the water with a loud splash

I resurface and wipe the water off my face with my hands while all the others are laughing their asses off. 

I can't believe my parents, Sam and Jen are laughing and finding this situation funny instead of being mad at the they just met the guy who threw their daughter in the water, without a bloody warning!

"Oh my god, precious. That was epic!" Matt chokes out in between laughs

"OH YOU ARE SO BLOODY DEAD!" I yell out and run to catch him coz he already started running off as soon as I yelled

"We'll see about that, precious." he says and runs to the direction of where my family was seated

"I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!" I yell

"I'd like to see you try." Matt says, using Jay as his shield and swaying him back n forth to try and be safe

Mum, dad, Sam, Jen, Jay and kitty have been laughing all this while and are still laughing.

Some family I have. I thought.

"Let's make it a challenge for you precious, you catch me and I buy you ice cream but if you fail, you buy me one." he challenges

"You got yourself a deal, Matty boy." I say and take a run towards him

In the attempts of using Jay as his shield, he swayed him a little too much which resulted in Jay falling face first into the sand. This made my family laugh even more than they already were.

Matt noticed the clearance in the way of me catching him so he took a run while I ran behind him.

He turned to look at how far I was and stumbled over a rock and lost a bit of his balance. I was running at a good speed so couldn't slow down sooner and crashed into Matt, making us both fall down and into the sand.

Matt had his back on the sand and I somehow was on top of him.

So cliché. My conscience commented but I was too occupied by the close distance between Matt and I to focus on what my mind was thinking right now.

None of us spoke a word and just stared into each other's eyes, not making a single effort to move away.

I was too absorbed into his blue eyes to even think properly but it kinda surprised that even he didn't make an attempt to move away.

In fact, he leaned in his face closer to mine and reluctantly my head moved closer to his.

And then...
