"He said that?!"

"Oo..." Sagot ko sa gulat na gulat na si Zekiya.

I immediately called her para makwento ko sakanya ang mga nangyare kanina. Yes, sinabi kong ayaw ko sila madamay sa problema kong ito, kaso at some point kailangan ko rin ipaalam sakanila dahil hindi na ako sigurado kung tama pa ba ang ginagawa ko.

Well, I think tama naman yung sinabi ko sakanya kanina. Our lives are already stable. He's a very successful young CEO, while Im a successful chef who owns 5 branches of restaurants under my name, ayaw ko na masira pa ang mga yan dahil lang sa pagmamahal namin sa isa't isa.

Mahal ko pa si Drake, hindi naman kase talaga nawala yan eh, pilit ko siyang kinakalimutan pero hindi ko magawa. I love him so much.

"What did you tell him? Anong sinagot mo?" Zekiya asked while anticipating for my answer.

I took a deep breathe before answering.

"Sinabi kong hindi ko na siya mahal."

Hindi man lang siya nagreact sa sinabi ko. She's just staring at me with her blank expression.

"Ano?" Tanong ko dahil naawkward na ako.

"You're lying. You are obviosuly lying." Pailing iling niya pa na sabi.

"That's the only choice I had that time." Pagdedepensa ko sa sarili ko.

"That's not the only choice you have. You have other choices but you chose that." She said.

"But why did you do that?" Dagdag pa niya.

Hindi man lang ako makatingin sakanya ng deretso. Palaging may punto ang sinadabi ni Zekiya. Feeling ko tuloy mali yung ginawa ko kanina. But again, I just did what I thought is right.

"Our lives are stable now. We have decent jobs. Ayokong masira ito ulit." I answered at nginitian siya. That's my point.

"Are you afraid that maybe his father will meddle in your lives again?" Tinaasan niya ako ng kilay.

Hindi ako agad nakasagot. Yan. His father is one of the main reasons kung bakit ayaw ko na. I will never forget that day. The day when I had no other choice but to leave the man I love. It's because of selfishness. But at some point, his selfishness made Drake successful.

"Ayoko na mangyare ang nangyare date. I dont want to leave him again."

"You're not going to leave him again..... His father has nothing to do with your lives anymore. Drake inherited the company without any problem. That's the only reason why his dad asked you to break up with him, he's afraid that you might distract Drake." Mahabang explanation ni Zekiya.

"How sure are you?" I asked her.

May punto naman ang sinabu niya pero gaano siya kasigurado?

"Im very sure." She assured me.

"Wag mong hayaan na mawala siya sayo ulit. Give your relationship another chance. Im sure that you still love him." She added.

Agad akong lumapit sakanya at niyakap siya ng mahigpit. Zekiya's advices are always helpful. She just made me realized that what I did awhile ago was very wrong. Hindi ko dapat sinabi yun kay Drake.

"You think so? Susugal ba ako ulit? Are you sure that hindi ako matatalo this time?" Sunod sunod kong tanong sakanya at kumalas sa yakap.

She smiled at me before answering with assurance.

"Im very sure that you'll win this time. Your love is stronger than anything else, you'll surely get through this. I trust you. I trust the love you have for each other, so I hope that you also do."
