*FORTY-TWO*

Phana's POV

When we got there the house was completely decorated. I thought this was going to be an intimate party but turns out my parents invited literally everyone they knew. It wasn't your typical pink/blue reveal. The house was decorated in silver and rose gold. It looked more like a gala and the cake was 4 tiers. I knew they would do something over the top but I wasn't expecting this.

"My boys" my father yelled as he hugged us both. "Do you guys like it? I didn't want to go too big so I kept it small"

"It's......definitely......something" I said

"This is so beautiful" Wayo said while crying

"Now go mingle with the guest. They don't even know it's a gender announcement or the fact that you're having a baby. So this is going to be a huge surprise" Dad explained

"Yo why don't you get something to eat and I'll get us some drinks"

"Finally. I smelled the food as soon as I walked in. the baby and I are hungry."

Wayo's POV

I walked over to the food table and I was amazed. There was deserts, meats, veggies, fish and candy. I just topped my plate with everything and I grabbed a cupcake for P'Pha.

"Woah slow it down there" a girl said to me

"Yeah, judging by how you look you don't need to be eating that much" another girl replied

"Excuse me?" I asked

"You heard her fatty, also why are you even here. This is supposed to be a party with only close friends, last I checked i've never seen you before" a third girl said

the trio of girls began to laugh at me

"He's probably another one of those gold digger's that are trying to take your Phana away from you Pring."

"You're Phana?" I said angrily

"Yes mine. Most people don't know why they're here but it's obvious."

"Imagine the look on everyone's faces when they announce your engagement".

"Engagement?" I asked

"Yeah ever since Phana left school I had my parents talk to his. We're both from the richest families so it's obvious that his parents finally agreed to the arrange marriage. If he hadn't left school we probably would have announced by now"

"Hey look fatty is crying"  

Phana's POV

I got us drinks and walked into Forth, Beam, Kit and Ming

"Hey have you guys seen Wayo?" Forth asked 

"Last time I saw him he was getting food" Kit said

"Yeah I saw him talk to 3 girls over there" Ming replied

"Which ones?" I asked 

Ming pointed to a trio of girls

"Shit" I groaned

"Whats wrong" Ming asked

"That's my ex Pring and her friends Sprite and June.......why were they even invited?" I complained

We all walked over to them and Pring tried to touch my arm. I pushed it away.

"My love why are you acting like this"

"I'm not your love. Now what did you say to Wayo. Why is he crying?"

"Who?" Pring asked

"Is he referring to the fatty?" Sprite laughed

"What did you just call him?" I said angrily

"Why do you care? He's just some fat gold digger. It's obvious this party is for us and out engagement"

"Yeah that's what she told that fatty " June laughed

"We are not engaged, this party isn't for you and I'd appreciate it if you and your friends stop calling my boyfriend fat"

"Boyfriend?" the trio said in unison

"My love are you okay" I asked

Wayo just looked at me and buried his face in my chest. "Love please talk to me"

"That girl and her friends.....they called me fat.....and she said that you were hers"

"Love you know that isn't true" I said while caressing his face "you are beautiful and the only person I belong to is you" I said and placed a kiss in his lips earning another gasp from Pring and her friends.

"But she said she wanted to marry you and that this party was for you two"

"My love, you know this party is for us. She's just an ex who still thinks we'll be together. I don't even know why she's here"

Pring and her friends groaned and left the room

"I'm sorry it's just my hormones" Wayo whispered 

We laughed and hugged. I completely forgot that the rest of the gang was behind us.

"Hey Beam are you okay? You don't look so good"  Wayo asked
