a figure stood in front of a grave as his eyes gazed over the name and the words 'a loving mother and wife'. he closed his eyes momentarily as a sigh escaped his lips, he suddenly felt a hand softly patting his back and for a split second, he thought it was his mother so he shot his eyes wide open
he craned his head to the side and it was sad to say that it wasn't his mother but his fiance. he stayed silent as the girl's hand left his back and went to put down the flowers she just bought before bowing towards the older woman
"good morning, mrs. na or should i call... mother?" nabi lightly chuckled before continuing her words, "your son has been very bad to me, i'm sure you've seen it but now i know, he's actually a really good boy, a good fiance, a good son or i guess you can say he's a... good person"
nabi's eyes went to jaemin as he was already looking at her the whole time, she said the last two words with a warm smile on her lips which made jaemin's heart flutter. she then turned her head towards the grave again
"thank you for giving birth to na jaemin, thank you for taking care of him to be the person he is now. you can finally rest now because it's my turn to take care of him - i'm sure you know that we're getting married soon. don't worry mother, i'll take good care of him"
jaemin felt a smile creeping up his face when he heard those words from the girl. he's happy that this isn't a stage because he can know that nabi's words were sincere and genuine. their moments during the shadows are their only time in this life where they can express their selves more clearly as their own selves
nabi turned her head to the side and smiled sweetly at jaemin, the male couldn't help but return the smile. they kept on smiling at each other as they found comfort with the other's presence.

"how did you know?" "you told me before... i'm a bit disappointed you didn't ask me to come with you" nabi joked as the male only smiled sheepishly at her
"i'm sorry, it's just that you were finally discharged and i know you missed going to school so yeah.." nabi nods her head as she understood where he's coming from
"i understand but next time, give me a text okay?" jaemin nodded his head as the both of them turn quiet until nabi spoke again
"you know... even though it's day time, i've always wondered how the night sky would look with stars covering it" usually at night, you will a few lights in the night sky or i guess you can call them as stars. in this world, there are no such things as stars helping the moon illuminating the night sky. there's only the moon shining all by itself in the dark
jaemin actually had the same thought as nabi, a few times he'd hang around in his balcony when he has trouble sleeping and he never saw any stars in the sky. jaemin's eyes venture to the blue sky as he huffed before nodding, "i wondered too"
