"did umm... did i miss something?.." nabi scooted closer to mark as she whispered the question to him. mark was puzzled about what she meant until he followed her gaze and a small "ah~" left his mouth before chuckling
nabi was gesturing her question towards renjun and dohee who are busy feeding each other in front of them. she was surprised to see her two best friends acting like a couple.. or are they?
"i could ask the same" nabi's eyes followed his gaze towards two students not far from them walking out of the canteen, it was jeno and saeron. nabi started to wonder where's chenle but then again, she thought that he's probably with jisung somewhere in school. nabi purses her lips before turning to face mark as she patted his shoulder
"we definitely missed a few things" mark nodded in agreement before taking another spoonful of his lunch. nabi decided to interrogate the two so she mockingly cleared her throat until they finally noticed they weren't alone and made a gap between them
"so... mind filling me up with .. whatever you guys are now?" nabi pointed to them with her spoon as she waited for their answer. the two exchanged a look before smiling sheepishly towards nabi
"there's nothing going around between us" nabi scoffed at their simultaneous reply, "yeah right" nabi muttered and decided to not question further since she's already sure from their reply earlier that in fact, there is something going around between them
"hey nabi" nabi looks towards her left to see a smiling donghyuck, "hi to you too" nabi shortly replied before continuing to eat her food
donghyuck sighed dreamily at nabi before outstretching his hand to pinch nabi's cheek. "you're too cute na-" donghyuck was cut off when someone slapped his hand that was pinching nabi's cheek
all people present in the table look up to see an annoyed jaemin behind donghyuck. "hands off hyuck" donghyuck immediately released his grip on nabi's cheek and raised both of his hands up as if he was surrendering to the other male
"she's all yours but she's still my best friend" jaemin rolled his eyes at him before deciding to take the available seat beside renjun, since donghyuck looked like he won't be moving any time soon and jaemin wasn't in the mood to make an argument
"does she even consider you as her best friend?" donghyuck's hand halted from shoving his food to his mouth as he placed the spoon back on the plate and threw a look towards mark while the latter only held out a peace sign with a teasing smile on his face
"it doesn't matter as long as i consider her as my best friend" all of the people present at the table only shook their heads at donghyuck as they couldn't understand how his mind works
