I didn't want to overreact and especially not in front of our friends. He was drunk right now, so it had no use. I decided to just leave it for tonight, but my mood was ruined within seconds. I felt like just yelling at him and whatsoever. But I know Anthony would definitely kill him if he cheated on me or even hurt me somehow. And it would ruin our group too and that's exactly what I don't want. I put his phone back to where it was and walked to the kitchen. I just stood there taking a breath and trying to push away all the thoughts that came into my mind. He wouldn't cheat on me. Maybe it's the wrong number? Should I confront him? Or just wait? I didn't notice Jaden came walking up behind me and called my name. "Aliyah?", Jaden asked waving his hand in front of my face. "Yeah... hi...", I said looking at him and giving him a little smile. I really wanted to tell him what I just saw, but I know they are best friends and I don't want them to fight. "Is something wrong?", he asked sitting on the counter. "Uhmm, no.... Why?", I asked trying to hide that I was upset and angry. But I'm not really good at that. "I don't know, it looks like there's a lot on your mind", he said shrugging. He can read me like a book. "Yeah... it's ju- ", I started being cut off by Anthony. "Ali, can we go? Payt and Vani are hammered", Anthony said holding up Avani. "Sure", I said walking up to him. "You take Avani to the car, I'll get Payton", he said giving me Avani. I nodded and walked to the car. Jaden walked in front of me opening the front door and the car door.

"Thank you", I said hugging Jaden as Avani, and Payton were in the backseat. "What did you wanted to say?", he asked pulling out of the hug. "It's nothing", I said looking down at my hands. "I know it's not but call me if you're ready to talk about it", he said making me look up to him. "I will, thanks", I said giving him a little smile. Anthony and I said goodbye to the rest of the group and left Bryce's house. "What was Jaden talking about?", Anthony asked me while the music played quietly on the background. "Nothing, just about mom and dad", I said partly lying. He nodded and I didn't mind him asking any further. "Can we get food?", I asked. "I thought you would never ask", he said laughing and I smiled. We pulled up to Mc Donald's and went to the drive thru. Payton and Avani were still passed out so we only ordered for ourselves. When we got the food I parked the car and we ate in silence. "I've missed this", Anthony said cutting the peaceful silence. "What?", I asked taking a bite of my chicken nugget. "Just us spending time together", he said taking a sip of his drink not looking at me. "Yeah, me too", I said giving him a little smile. We became pretty distant when he started dating Avani. And ever since our parents left it became even more. We would usually do everything together and if I'm honest I really miss that. But on the other side, he is happy with her and I love to see him happy. And mainly getting his mind of our fucked up family life. "I'm sorry for being so distant the past weeks... well actually months", he said chuckling the last part. "It's okay Ant", I said smiling, "you're happy and that makes me happy." "Are you tho?", he asked finally looking at me for the first time. "What do you mean?", I asked being confused. "You've been down ever since we arrived at the party, I noticed", he said. I didn't want to tell him what I saw on Payton's phone, but I wanted to talk about it too.

"Uhm... Jaden asked if mom and dad called. And it just made me upset, again", I said looking down. I immediately lost my appetite. I don't show it much or talk about it, but I really do miss them. Even tho they always treated me less then Anthony, I don't know why, but they are still my parents. And I love them. "They are just busy", Anthony said. "Yeah sure. How much energy does is take to pick up the phone and reply to my texts or call me, huh?!", I said slightly raising my voice. Anthony just stayed silent. "I'm just over it. We should have parents who are HERE and see us grow up", I said having tears in my eyes. The car went silent for a bit. "Did they text you back?", I asked not sure if I wanted an answer. Anthony looked at me being sorry for me. "Yeah...", he practically whispered. That broke my heart even more. They just didn't wanted to talk to me. Not me and Anthony. Just not ME. "Okai", I said getting out of the car and taking my trash with me. Tears started to go down my cheek and I was genuinely hurt by this. I always had a feeling they liked Anthony more, and I don't blame him, but this confirms it. It's the cold, hard truth. "Ali, please", Anthony said getting out of the car. "What?!", I said turning around facing my brother. We never yell at each other, so he looked shocked. "They love you, it's just that they are busy", he said. "No fuck that! I'm so done with pretending I'm fine with it and understanding it. I don't, okay?! Am I-I not good enough?", I asked fully sobbing now. "Don't say that... you know you are", he said walking up to me and hugging me. I just sobbed in his chest as he is taller than me. "I love you okay? Our friends love you and Payton? He is head over heels for you", he said kissing the top of my head. I'm not sure about the last part, Ant. I pulled out of the hug and looked up at him. "I'm sorry, for not telling you", he said. "It's not your fault...", I said looking down, "can we please go home?" He nodded and took the keys from me. "What are you doing?", I asked. "I didn't drink, I'll drive", he said going to the driver's side. I nodded and went to the passenger side. We drove home in complete silence.

When we arrived Anthony took Avani to his room and went to bed. I took Payton upstairs and took off his clothes. He was just in his boxers and I laid him in my bed. "Come here, baby", he slurred. "I'm just going to get some water", I said pulling the bedsheets over him. "Fine", he mumbled and passing out once again. I shook my head and walked to my closet. I grabbed some sweatpants and a hoodie. I changes my clothes and walked downstairs. I wasn't actually going to grab water, but I just didn't feel like sleeping in the same bed as him. I went to sit on the couch, and I put some music on. I closed my eyes and tried to clear my mind. It didn't work and the last thing I remember is that I was full on crying before I fell asleep. I don't want to get hurt. Not anymore.

The next morning

I wake up as someone shook me lightly. I open my eyes and look up at him. Payton. "Good morning", he said kissing my cheek. "Good morning", I said sitting up and rubbing my eyes. "Why did you sleep on the couch?", he asked pulling me close. "I was watching tv, I guess I fell asleep here", I said lying. "Good morning sis", Anthony said messing up my already messed up hair. "Hmm", I hummed at him. "I made breakfast", he said from the kitchen. Payton and I stood up and walked to the kitchen. "Good morning Vani", I said smiling at her while she rested her head on the table. "Stop laughing at me", she said sitting up straight, "I'm hungover." "I wouldn't have guessed", I said chuckling. "Oh fuck off", she said smiling and everyone started laughing. We ate the delicious pancakes Anthony made and just talked about last night. Payton's phone wouldn't stop buzzing. "You can take it if you want", Anthony said pointing to his phone with his fork. "Oh... it's my uhhh... mom", Payton said getting up and walked to the garden. 'It's my uhhh.... Mom.' Hell no, it's not. I looked down my plate and just played with my last piece of pancake. "You don't like it?", Anthony asked chuckling. "What?", I asked looking up confused. "The pancake?", he said smiling. "No it's really good", I said giving him a little smile.

~ Anthony's POV ~
After breakfast Avani and I went back to my room after doing the dishes. "That was weird, Aliyah and Payton", Avani said sitting on my bed. "Yeah, I don't know. Something is bothering Aliyah besides our parents, but she won't tell me", I said grabbing some clothes. "What about Jaden?", Avani asked. Jaden and Aliyah are pretty close, maybe she told him. "That's a good one", I said grabbing my phone pulling up Jaden's contact.

Calling Jay the sexiest man alive <3...

"Hey Ant", Jaden said picking up the phone. "Hi, did I wake you up?", I asked walking back and forth in my room. "No, but what's up?", he asked. "Nothing much... Just that something is off about Ali", I said. "Yeah, I noticed yesterday", he said. "Did she say anything? Other than mom and dad", I asked already knowing that they talked about our parents. "Not really. But I saw her looking on, what I think, Payton's phone. And then she walked inside. I walked up to her and she was lost in her thoughts or something. She was about to tell me what was wrong, but then you walked in", he explained. "Oh, I'm sorry man. I just hope she is okay", I said sighing. "I hope too", he said. "Okay thanks man, I'll talk to you later", I said. "Yeah, let me know if anything changes", he said. "Will do, bye", I said. "Bye", he said hanging up. 

End of call...

"And?", Avani asked looking at me. "He doesn't know either", I said sitting next to her. Did Payton do something? Is he cheating on her? He better not...
