Chapter 49

The other part of the trip was amazing. As soon as we left the spot where we could swim we went to this little beach. There were sea pigs and Jaden got all excited. It was really cute and he was smiling the whole time. I don't think I have seen Jaden this happy for the longest time. He hides everything and thinks that people don't see it. Most people don't, but if you know Jaden on a personal level like we all do, you'll notice. But in this moment he looks like the happiest child ever. We got to feed the pigs and swim with them for a little bit. After that we went to another beach and saw little sharks. They're supposed to be human friendly, but honestly I was quite terrified. Jaden had to convince me to get in and after the longest time I did. He promised me to hold my hand the whole time we were in the water. After a few minutes of squeezing Jaden's hand to mash, I got less scared. I even pet one of them!

After the boat returned to harbor we all went to get showered and ready for dinner tonight. We saw this little restaurant where they played music and danced. We all thought it would be fun and decided to go. An hour later we were all done and left the hotel. I went to walk with the girls since we've been with our boyfriends the whole day. We talked about everything and Maya told us that Payton was acting a bit weird. "What do you mean weird? Because have you looked at him", I said chuckling and looking towards Payton. He was goofing around with Blake like crazy people. "Yeah, I know", Maya said chuckling, "but I don't know." Her smile faded a little bit and I wrapped my arm around her shoulder. "Just talk to him, he's really bad at lying", I said giving her a little smile. "I know, but it's not like he's not telling me something... It's just that he's acting different", she said shrugging. "I know the feeling, but he's probably just nervous or something", I said shrugging too. "About what?", she asked. "That, I can't tell you", I said shrugging again.

Honestly I tried to tell myself and was hoping that Payton wasn't cheating again. Because if he is, I'll really kill him this time and leave him here. I tried to cheer Maya up and it worked for a little bit. We went to sit down at our table and soon after ordered our food. I sat next to Jaden and Avani. It was a round table so we could all see each other. This trip has made us all become closer, if that was possible. They are like my family. "Can I have your attention?", Bryce said hitting his fork slightly at his glass. We all stopped talking and had our attention towards Bryce. "Thank you", he said smiling and putting his glass and fork down, "I wanted to say something." "Speech! Speech! Speech!", we all cheered as Bryce shushed us again. "We've known each other for the longest time now. Recently Noah and Maya joined us and they've become a part of our little family", he said pointing at them. "For a long time we wanted to live together and we finally did that. We might have our ups and down, but we always stick together", he said raising his eyebrows. "I guess what I wanted to say is... that I love all of you and let's make a promise to stay together until we can't anymore", he said as his eyes were glistering. The whole table got silent and also the few tables around us. Mainly the girls had tears in their eyes and we all stood up. We raised out glasses and cheered, "to us!"

After Bryce's little speech our food came. I stood up from my seat and walked over to Bryce who sat on the other side of the table. I hugged him from behind and he put his arms over mine. "I love you", I said. "Love you too, Ali", he said chuckling. I let go of him and he smiled at me. I quickly went to sit back in my seat and we started to eat. Within thirty minutes our food was gone and we all talked with each other. Soft music was playing in the background and a slow song came on. I was talking to Jaden when someone tapped on my shoulder. I looked up and say Payton looking at me. "Will you dance with me?", he asked obviously nervous. I looked at Jaden and he nodded with a little smile. I stood up and took Payton's hand. We walked to the dance floor and I placed my hands on his shoulders and he placed his on my waist.

"So...", I said pressing my lips together. "I'm sorry", he said looking at me. "For what?", I asked frowning. "For cheating on you and for hurting you. I never meant it to happen like that", he said looking down. "It's okay, Payt. You already said sorry and I forgave you", I said trying to find his eyes again. He stayed silent and looked up at me. "Are you and Maya good?", I asked after a minute. "Yeah, why?", he asked frowning. "She thinks you're acting weird... I hope you aren't cheating on her", I said sternly. "No no no, I'm not. I uhh....", he said looking away from me. He looked past me and looked at Maya who still sat at out table. "What are you smiling for", I said chuckling and shaking his shoulders a bit. "It's stupid", he said smiling and looking down. "No tell me", I said smiling. "I bought a promise ring", he whispered. "Wait? Really?!", I said excited. I may have said it a bit load because the whole group was looking at us weird. "Ali...", he said smiling shaking his head. "Sorry sorry, but for real?", I asked talking less loudly. He nodded and started to blush.

"Why haven't you asked her yet?", I asked. "I wanted to do it tonight, at the pier", he said smiling. "Do it", I said smiling back at him. "Are you sure? Maybe she doesn't love me like that? I mean I di-", he rambled. "Payt, she love you okay?", I said holding his face. "How are you so sure?", he asked. "She talks about you all the time", I said smiling at him and putting my hands back on his shoulders. He bit his lip trying to keep in his smile. "You'll be okay with that?", he asked. "I want you to be happy and if that's with Maya then go for it. And I have someone for myself", I said smiling and looking at Jaden who was talking with Anthony. "You really like him, don't you?", Payton asked making me look back at him. I nodded slowly, "I love him." Payton raised his eyebrows. "It took you a year to say that to me", he said being fake offended. "Well, it's different with him", I said shrugging not knowing why. "I'm really happy you are happy again", he said giving me a smile. I hugged him. It was the first time we hugged since the he was at my house with a black eye from Anthony. It felt good, but I also feel like we finally closed that chapter off of our lives.

We break out of the hug and smile at each other. "Now, go get your girl", I said shoeing him away. "Thanks, Ali", he said walking away smiling. I laughed at him and I feel a presence stand behind me. One I know all too well. "Can I have this dance?", Jaden whispered in my ear. I turned around and looked at him. He sticked out his hand and I gladly took it. He pulled me closer pressing our bodies together. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he did around my waist, placing them on my back. "You look wonderful", he said looking me in my eyes. "Thanks Jay, you clean up nice too", I said started to blush. "What was that all about?", he asked nodding his head towards Payton who was dancing with Maya now. "He wanted to say sorry and... he told me he's giving Maya a promise ring", I said smiling. "Really?", Jaden said raising his eyebrows. "Yep", I said nodding. "My little brother is growing up", he said pouting. "Awhh", I said putting my hands in his hair.

"Did he want your approval?", he asked chuckling. "Something like that. He asked me if I would be okay with it and I said I wanted him to be happy. And I have someone for myself", I said smiling at him. "Oh, do I know him?", Jaden asked tilting his head. "Yeah, I think so. He's like this rockstar, but very shy too. He has darkish hair and it's curly. I like him very very much", I said nodding. "Hmm, sound like a nice guy", he said smiling. "Yeah, very nice", I said moving closer to his ear, "and very good in bed too." I moved away from his ear and his face looked flustered. Soon he bit his lower lip and started to smile. Well, more like a smirk. He leaned in and connected our lips. It was a slow and passionate kiss. He pulled away and put a strand of my hair behind my ear. "I love you", he said smiling and rubbing his thumb against my cheek. "I love you too", I said leaning my head towards his hand. Man... I'm falling like a shooting star for this boy... and I don't mind at all.
