The Reeves

Mom
We're coming home in two days. When we get home we want you to have packed all your stuff and be gone. No discussion. We are starting a new life with our children and don't want you in it. If you're at the house when we get home, there will be consequences.

What did she mean with 'our' children. We are theirs too. This is so messed up. They don't text or call me for almost a year and now they're kicking us out? Or maybe only me? "Ali, what's wrong?", Jaden asked breaking my gaze from my phone. I looked at him and shot up. I walked upstairs totally ignoring Jaden calling me. My eyes were tearing up, but I was actually boiling on the inside. I walk to Anthony's room and open the door. He was sitting on the bed with Avani with his head down. Avani looked up at me and her face was full of sympathy. "What is this?", I asked holding up my phone. Anthony looked up. His eyes were red and tears were coming down. "I don't know", he said under his breath. "Does this apply to the both of us or just me?", I asked trying to not yell. "Why would you say that. It's for the both of us... I think", he said. Jaden stood behind me and I could tell he was confused. "Why would you think Ant? Mom and dad never cared about me and everything I did was wrong in their eyes!", I said raising my voice. "They do care about you Ali. They're just busy", Anthony said standing up. "Oh stop with the bullshit. They're busy when it's about me. For you they have all the time!", I said yelling in his face. "Stop! You know it's not like that!", Anthony said yelling back at me. "Then what is it!", I yelled. "I-I don't know", he said tearing up. "This is ridiculous", I said walking out of his room and going to my own.

I locked the door behind me and sat on my bed. I dialed my mom's phone number and waited for her to pick up. After thirty seconds she finally picked up. "What?", she asked thru the phone. "Did you mean to send that text?", I asked calming down. "Yes, and you better start packing. I don't want to see you when we're back", she said irritated. "Only me?", I asked tearing up. "Yes, of course", she said in a 'duh' tone. "Why? What did I do?", I asked trying to have a steady voice. "That's the thing. Nothing. You do absolutely nothing. You always put our family in a bad light and we're done with it!", she said. "What do you mean? I alwa- ", I started but she cut me off. "You suck at social media, you can't stay with one boy, you have no talent. Do you want me to go any further?", she asked. "I was with Payton for two years", I said silently. "Was?! You broke up?! Did you cheat on him?!", she asked literally screaming. "No mom, he did", I said. "Don't lie. I'm done with your lies. You're such a slut!", she said. I couldn't believe my own mother said this about me. I was full on crying and trying to catch my breath. "W-where am I going to stay?", I asked. "What do I care. As long as you're not at the house when we get back", she said. "Mom, you can't just kick me out", I said. "Yes I can. Your dad and I had enough of you. Your brother at least achieves something", she said. "P-please, don't do this", I said begging. "I don't care. Oh before I forget, tell Anthony we got him a photo shoot planned for next week", she said before hanging up on me.

I drop my phone out of my hand and let the tears fall. I hear Anthony and Jaden knocking on the door. I couldn't believe my own parents are kicking me out. Not me and Anthony, just me. I needed to get out of the house and just be alone. I didn't wanted to be here and probably have another panic attack. I grabbed some leggings and an oversized t-shirt. I grabbed my phone and purse and wiped my tears. I opened my door and saw Jaden and Anthony standing in front of me. I walked past them down the stairs. "Ali, where are you going?", Anthony asked grabbing my wrist before I opened the front door. "I'm leaving", I said calmly. "Why? What did mom say?", he asked. "That I need to leave and not the both of us", I said still trying to keep the tears in and my voice down. "You're lying, she wouldn't to that", he said. "Yeah, I'm lying. I always do. I'm also a slut, did you know that?", I asked sarcastically pulling my wrist back. "What?", Anthony asked confused. "Oh I almost forgot, you have a photo shoot next week, lots of love mom", I said turning around and opening the front door. "Ali please", he said running up behind me. "No Anthony, I'm done with this. I'm leaving and I'll be back tonight to pack up everything", I said turning around again, as our eyes meet. "I'm not letting you lea- ", he started. "It's okay, I'll figure something out", I said kissing his cheek and getting in my car. I reversed my car and drove off. After I turned the corner in our street I stopped the car on the side of the road and let my head fall on my steering wheel. I hate my parents. I hate my life. I hate... myself.

~ Anthony's POV~
I see Aliyah drive off and I can't believe what is happening. Mom and dad would never do that, right? Maybe Aliyah is just overreacting. She is you sister, dumbass! I walk back into the house and Jaden frowns at me. "What the hell is going on?", he asked. I showed him the text and his jaw literally droped. I take my phone back and call my mom. My mom picked up in a second and greeted me. "Hi darling, did Aliyah tell you about the shoot?", she asked excited. "Mom what was that text?", I asked. "Oh you weren't supposed to see that", she said laughing it off. "Well I did and I'm not letting Ali leave", I said sternly. "Baby, it's fine. And on the bright side you'll have three new siblings!", she said excited. "Sorry?", I asked confused. "Yeah, we got pregnant and we adopted a twin. They are 12 years old", she said. "But- ", I started. "They are excited to meet you", she said. "Mom, you can't just kick out Ali", I said. "Well we need her room and she doesn't really bring money to the table, does she?", she said. "She is a kid, just as much as I'm a kid. She doesn't need to bring money to the table", I said angrily. "Well you do, so she should too", she said.

"If you kick her out, I'm leaving too", I said hoping she would change her mind. "Anthony honey, don't be silly", she said. "No mom I mean it. I'll leave too", I said. "She is not even our child", I hear dad say in the background. "What was that?", I asked frowning. "Your dad is right, she is not our kid, and it- ", she started. "But that means I'm not yours either", I said tearing up. "No honey, it's not li- ", she started but I hung up. I didn't want to hear anything anymore. They are not Aliyah's parents? I'm not their kid? Is Aliyah actually my sister?

~ Aliyah's POV~
I've been driving for two hours know. I shot off my phone since everyone was texting and calling me. I know I shouldn't leave like that, but I don't know what just happened. My own parents are kicking me out. Anthony doesn't believe me. Who would actually? I finally drove to the Starbucks and parked my car. I knew Noah wasn't working today so I didn't had to talk to him and explain everything. I walked in and ordered a Frappuccino. As I was waiting for my order I just looked down at my hands. I hear people come in and out but I just focused on my hands. I knew I looked like a wreck and didn't feel like interacting with anyone at this moment. All of the sudden somebody tucks me on my t-shirt. I looked up and saw the little girl who stood in front of me. "Are you Aliyah Reeves?", she asked. I nodded and gave her a little smile. "What's your name?", I asked kneeling down. "I'm Kelsey", she said shyly. "That's a beautiful name", I said, "do you want to take a picture?" "Oh if you don't want to that's fine", her mom said. "It's fine, I love meeting my supporters", I said looking up at the woman and giving her a smile. She gave me a smile back. She took a quick picture and I stood up again. "Caramel Frappuccino for Ali?", the worker asked. "Yes, thank you", I said getting my drink. I was about to walk away when the mom from Kelsey stopped me. "Are you alright?", she asked. Tears started to form in my eyes, but I knew I couldn't talk about it to her. "Yeah, I will be", I said giving her a weak smile, "have a nice day." I waved at the little girl and walked off. I quickly went to my car and sat in the driver seat. The tears started to came down again and they wouldn't stop. Just go home and pack your stuff. Nobody believes you and nobody want you. The little voice in my head was getting louder and louder and I didn't know how to shut it off.
