Chapter 25

After everyone greeted Josh we all went to sit down. We finally ordered our food and we got it  pretty fast. Josh kept making eye contact with me and smiling, but I didn't read that much into it. After two hours we went home and I paid for everyone. "You didn't had to pay, you know", Bryce said putting his arm around my shoulder and walking beside me. We started to walk slower, so we were behind the group. "I know, but I wanted to", I said shrugging. "So, you and Josh?", he asked frowning. "What about him and I?", I asked confused. "He was looking at you the whole time", he said raising his eyebrows. "Oh, that... It's probably nothing", I said shrugging. I was really not sure if it meant something. "Just be careful", he said, "you know how he is." "I know and I will", I said giving him a smile. We walked closer to the group and Bryce went to walk with Addison. We walked around the corner and there was a lot of paparazzi.

I looked up from my phone and jointed the group. "So Ali, the fans want to know. Do you have your eye on someone, since you and Payton are over?", the guy asked putting the camera on me. "Uhm, I'm trying to focus on myself at the moment", I said giving him a small smile. "That's really good, are you and Payton friends?", he asked. "Yeah, we are good. We talked it out and we're fine", I said looking over at Payton. He shot me a smile and I smiled back at him. "We saw a livestream where Payton had bruises on his face, did something happen?", he asked. He's getting on my nerves now. "There was an argument, but we rather keep that private", I said. "Okay, thank you. Enjoy your night guys", he said saying goodbye. "Thank you", we all said and finally walked off. We got into the cars and drove home. "I really don't like paparazzi", Maya said sighing. "You'll get used to it. But it's just their work", Addison said chuckling. "You just need to talk around the question", I said chuckling, "never answer it fully." Maya nodded and quickly after that we arrived home.

Once we came home everyone changed into some comfortable clothes. We were just gonna chill and catch up with Josh. A few people came over, but it was really chill. "Wanna talk?", Josh asked walking up behind me. "Sure", I said smiling and walking off. We went outside by the pool since it was pretty loud inside. "Where are you gonna stay?", I asked sitting on the edge of the pool with my feet in the water. "Here, Jaden said there's a room free", he said sitting next to me doing the same. "Yeah, how long are you staying?", I asked. "I'm moving in", he said with a big smile. "What, really?", I asked smiling too. He nodded and I hugged him. "My parents said that I'm old enough and I told them I really missed you guys", he said shrugging. "Awhh, we missed you too", I said smiling. "What happened between you and Payton?", he asked. "I found out he cheated on me, and we broke up", I said looking down at my hands. "Why is everyone so chill with him then?", he asked. "I asked them to just be normal. And Payton and I talked and we are good", I said smiling, "I just needed some time, but we're fine." "Who was the girl?", he asked. "Maya, the blonde one", I said turning around and pointing her out in the group. "She's actually pretty nice", I said shrugging and turning back. He nodded and we had some small talk.

Josh and I where always really close. I can remember the day we met as if it was yesterday. He was a pretty shy kid, but he grew out of that over the years. Once he got more famous on TikTok and other media platforms he really expressed himself. Him and Anthony shared that passion and that's why they are really close. They are best friends. Jaden and Josh became closer over the years and are best friends too. When Josh moved we lost contact, or at least we talked a lot less then before. Josh and I would always flirt around, just to piss off Anthony. I never felt that way about him, but I don't know about Josh. He was that kind of guy who got a lot of attention from girls, but never had a girlfriend. He would mess around with them tho. He always told me that he never fell in love or knew what it felt like. I guess he is just waiting for the right one.

We sat outside for quite a while and it became colder. "Do you want to go inside, you're literally shivering", he said laughing at me. "No, it's fine", I said smiling. "Here", he said taking off his hoodie. "You don't have to Josh, really", I said. "No, take it", he said handing it to me. I tilted my head and took it. I quickly pulled it over my head. "So...", Josh said. He just looked at me and I started to smile. "What?", I asked smiling awkwardly. "I really missed you, Ali", he said. "I did too, Joshy", I said joking with his nickname. He smiled at my comment and looked down at his hands. He became somewhat shy all of the sudden. "I-", he started. "What's wrong?", I asked looking at him. He just looked at me and before I knew he kissed me. I didn't kiss back and pushed him off immediately. "Josh, I-", I started. "Sorry, I-I shouldn't have", he said standing up and walking away. "Josh wait", I said standing up and grabbing his wrist. He turned around and he had tears in his eyes. "What's wrong?", I asked frowning and letting go of his wrist. He looked really upset and I felt guilty. "It's nothing. I'm sorry", he said walking away. I stood there as he walked inside. I didn't know what to do.

I walked in after Josh and Avani looked at me. I signed her to walk with me and I started to tear up. She took the hint and walked towards me. She took my hand and walked to her bathroom. Before we walked upstairs, Jaden walked towards us. "Are you okay?", he asked. "Yeah, just got something in my eye", I said giving him a little smile. He nodded and we quickly went up to the bathroom. "What happened?", Avani asked closing the door. "Josh kissed me", I spat out sitting on the edge of the bathtub. "Wait, really?", she asked surprised. I nodded. "Did you kiss back?", she asked. "No, I don't like him like that", I said looking up at her. "Yeah, I know... are you gonna tell Jaden?", she asked. "I want to, but something is wrong with Josh", I said shrugging, "he seemed upset." "Yeah, I would too, if a girl rejects me", she said raising her eyebrows. "Yeah... I don't know", I said looking down again. "I'll talk to Josh first, before it starts any drama", I said standing up. "I think you need to give him some space, before you talk to him", she said. I nodded and cleaned up my face.

We went back to the group and Josh was nowhere to be seen. "Where's Josh?", Avani asked Anthony. "He said he was tired", Anthony said shrugging. We nodded and I sat next to Jaden. Everyone that didn't live at our house left around 1 am. Soon after we cleaned the house and everyone went to bed. I walked to my room and grabbed an oversized shirt. I took off the hoodie and the rest of my clothes. I pulled the shirt over my head and folded the hoodie. I walk to my bed when someone knocked on my door. "Yeah?", I asked sitting down. Jaden opened the door and I instantly started to smile. "What do you want?", I said laughing. "Okay, I'll leave then", Jaden said faking to be sad. "No, come here", I said smiling. He turned around and smiled at me. He tackled me on the bed and hugged me tight. "I can't breathe, Jay", I said trying to push him off. It resulted in him pulled me closer. "Jayyy", I said laughing. He eventually loosens his grip and laid on top of me. His arms were on the sided of my face and played with my hair. He was not looking at me in the eyes, but I did look at his. It seems like they get bluer every time I look in them.

"What happened earlier?", Jaden asked moving off me and laying next to me. "Uhm... can I tell you tomorrow?", I asked not looking at him. "Yeah, are you okay tho?", he asked. "mhm, just confused", I said nodding and giving him a little smile. He nodded and puts his hands on my waist. He picked me up a bit and moved me up to lay properly in my bed. He laid on top of me again and hovered over me. "I wanted to do this the whole night", he whispered smirking. I smiled and he connected our lips. The kisses where slow and very sweet. He pulled away and smiled at me. He moved off me and pulled me close to his side. I wrapped my arms around his bare torso and laid my head on his shoulder. "Goodnight", he said kissing my forehead. "Goodnight", I said moving up. I slowly kissed his neck, teasing him. I can feel that he is biting his lip. "You need to stop, before I get too excited", he whispered. I giggled and laid back down. He played with my hair and I soon fell asleep with a smile on my face. Slightly forgetting the events of earlier that night.
