Chapter 7

~ Payton's POV ~
I wake up with a pounding head. All the events from last night came back. I sigh as I open my eyes slowly trying to adjust to the light from outside. I wanted to move my arm, but someone was laying on it. Aliyah. Her head was on my chest and I just looked at her. Why did I hurt her? I still didn't know why I did it. I didn't lie to her when I said that I love her, it's just that Maya is different. I guess I fell out of that kind of love for Aliyah. Even if I didn't wanted to admit that. I talked to Blake about it and he told me I should tell her as quick as possible. And he was right, I should've told her the night it happened. That's probably why he was looking mad at me when we were at Bryce's. I wish I didn't cheat and just could've broken up with her. Because I know she is hurting right now and that's mostly because of me. But I know she is strong, and she will find someone that treats her right, like she deserves.

The worst thing is that Anthony truly hates me and Jaden? I don't know. But I wouldn't be surprised if he is. That's when I got out of my thoughts. I'm laying in bed with Aliyah and I don't think Anthony would like that. And just in that moment Anthony walks in. Shit. He looked at me and frowned immediately. I stepped out of bed trying not to wake up Aliyah. "Now", Anthony whispered pointing to the door. I nodded and walked out. He closed the door and looked at me with his arms crossed. "What do you think you're doing?", he said raising his voice. "Can we go to your room. I don't want Ali to wake up", I said looking up at him. He nodded and walked to his room. I sat down on his bed and he closed the door. "So?", he asked again still standing. "Ant I'm sorry", I said not looking at him. "Payt, that doesn't cut it. You hurt her bad and I trusted you", he said. "I know and if I could go back in time to change the things I did, I would. But I can't and I know that, but I never meant to hurt her", I said. I was tearing up and I didn't even know why. I never cry and especially not in front of the boys. "Why did you do it?", he asked. "What? Cheat?", I asked looking up at him. He nodded and frowned. "Honestly... it felt right in that moment. And I know I am sounding like a douc bag right now, but I want to be honest with you," I said explaining. "Do you love her?", he asked. The expression in his face soften a bit. "Yeah and I always will.. It's just different for me now", I said looking at him. He nodded and walked up to me. He sat next to me and put his head in his hands.

After a few minutes he started to quietly sob. I didn't know what to do, because Anthony doesn't cry out of nowhere. "Bro, what's wrong?", I asked. "S-she... I-I scared h-her", he said in between sobs. "Who? Avani?", I asked confused. "No, Ali", he whispered. "She is your sister and she loves you dude. You guys will be fine", I said. "No nothing is fine! I beat up the boy she's in love with and not to forget you're my best friend! Our parents don't want her... and I don't even know w-why", he said stuttering. "Ant, I'm fine and yes it hurt, but I deserved it", I said chuckling, "and what do you mean with your parents?" Aliyah told me the times she would be upset with her parents, but she always said she loves them even tho they are not around that much. "She called and texted them and they didn't respond, they only texted me back. I know they don't like her, because they always treat her less than me. I honestly don't know why. She is always so caring and loving towards everyone. She always tries to do her best and make them proud, but it seems like they don't see that. I can't keep seeing her get hurt by them", he said rambling, "I just want her to be loved and accepted... by especially them." "She is Ant, truly. We all love her, and I hope she knows that", I said trying to calm him down.

"I'm sorry bro", Anthony said sitting up again. His face was tear stained and I could tell he didn't sleep at all last night. "It's fine, I'll heal", I said half smiling. "Are we good?", he asked. "For sure", I said putting my hand up. He took it and we did our handshake. "Wanna get breakfast for the girls?", he asked standing up. "Yeah, let me change real quick", I said standing up. "Take anything you want from my closet. I'll wake up Jaden", he said walking out. I nodded and walked to his closet. I changed and walked out of his room. I met Jaden downstairs. "Are you guys good?", Jaden asked yawning. "Yeah, we talked. Are we good?", I asked. "Yeah", he said smiling. I went to dab him up, but he pulled me close. "If you ever hurt her again, you'll be worse than this", he said whispering. I nodded and he let go. "You ready?", Anthony asked grabbing his keys. "Yeah, let's go", Jaden said shooting me a joking glare. I laughed and we walked out. I'm glad we're friends again.

~ Aliyah's POV ~
I woke up as someone was jumping on me. "Wakkkee upppp!", Avani said jumping up and down. "Vani, please let me sleep", I said groaning and turning around. "No get up. They boys are gone", she said. I turned around and frowned. "Where are they?", I asked rubbing my eyes. Avani laid next to me. "Just getting breakfast", she said chuckling, "how are you feeling?" "Little bit better, I guess. I just hope Ant and Payt are good", I said shrugging. "They will be, trust me. Boys don't hold grudges that long", she said smiling. "Can we please cuddle for five minutes?", I asked with puppy eyes. She squeezed her eyes and frowned. "I promise I'll get ready after that", I said pouting. "Fine then, only because I like our cuddles", she said smiling. We cuddled up to each other and just started to talk about random stuff. I really missed her as my friend, but it felt like nothing changed over the past year. We were still our goofy selves.

After thirty minutes we hear the front door open. We didn't leave the bed after the promised five minutes and just kept talking. We could hear the boys laugh and talking. I frowned and sat up. "Let's go downstairs", Avani said chuckling looking at my expression. I nodded and we walked downstairs. I walked behind Avani and looked up. I looked up at the three boys who were laughing and joking around like nothing happened, except from Payton's beaten up face. "Good morning", Avani said walking up to Anthony. They boys stopped talking and they all looked at me. I gave them a little smile and walked up to Payton. I gave him a hug and he hugged me back. Even tho he hurt me we were still friends and I'm happy we could be. I then walked to Jaden and hugged him. We stayed in the hug for a minute and I took in his scent. I know that sounds weird, but he just smelled good okay. We both pull out of the hug and he looked down at me. He gave me a little smile knowing he wants to asked me if I was okay. I gave him a smile back and we let go. I then turned to Anthony and he wasn't looking at me. I walked closer to him and hugged him. I know we argued last night and yes he scared me a bit, but he's still my brother. And I love him. "I'm sorry", he whispered hugging me back. "I know, but it's okay. I love you", I whispered back. "I love you too", he said pulling away and giving me a little smile. A tear rolled down his cheek and he wiped it away fast. I chuckled and we all sat down. It was a peaceful breakfast.

After breakfast everyone went back home. We were all meeting the group later, because we normally do on a Saturday night. We would go to our favorite spot and just chill there. We would always make a little fire and just have fun. We would all bring food and be there for the whole night. After a few hours me and Anthony drove to our spot. When everyone arrived we also told them what happened last night, and that Payton and I are no longer together. I told them to not be mad at Payton or choose sides and they respected that. I was currently sitting next to Jaden and we were just talking.

"Okay fine, tell me what kind of animal you are then?", he asked chuckling. "Okay, so don't laugh at me", I said raising my eyebrows. "I won't, I promise", he said holding up his pinky finger. I intertwined our pinkies and giggled. "Okay... I'm a koala", I said chuckling. "Why?", he asked smiling. "I'm really lazy if I want to be and I can cuddle really good", I said shrugging. "Those are both true. And koala's are pretty cute", he said blushing. Did he just call me cute? No probably not... right? I smiled at him and pulled the sleeves from the hoodie Blake gave me. "Okay next... what do you want to achieve with your music?", I asked turning to him. "Well, I- ", he started. "Ali, don't stretch my sleeves, please!", Blake yelled from across the fire. I let go of the sleeves and put my hands up in defense. "Sorry!", I said chuckling. I looked back to Jaden and he was laughing. "Okay so, I- ", he started but being interrupted yet again. Payton walked up to the group. I didn't even notice he left in the first place. A girl stood next to him. "Guys, this is- ", he said introducing the girl right next to him. Holding his hand. That isn't who I think it is, right?
