Chapter 23

"Well?", Anthony asked sitting forward. In the silent that had fallen, Bryce managed to slip out of my room. I didn't know if I should tell him or not. One part of me thinks Aliyah should tell him, but on the other hand I want to tell him and that I'm not gonna hurt her. You already did, dummy. "Yeah", I said whispering. "You need to speak up, Jay", Anthony said with annoyance in his voice. "Okay yes, we did. And I don't regret it. Aliyah means a lot to me and always will. I know that you trusted Payton with her and he messed up, but please give me a chance. I really like her, more than a friend", I said rambling. I looked down at my hands scared for his reaction. "Just confess your love for her, while you're at it", he said chuckling. I slowly looked up and Anthony moved the chair closer to me and sat down again. "I already knew bud", he said smiling. "How?", I asked. "Well, I kinda heard you guys the other day. Don't ever do that again, please. I don't need to hear my own sister doing whatever you were doing", he said fake gagging. I started to blush and laughed at his comment. "Sorry", I said smiling. "But you and Aliyah have always been close, she told me about your kiss two years ago too", he said. "Really?", I asked raising my eyebrow. "Yeah and you know what... I don't care if you and Aliyah are together. What I do care about is people who hurt her. So don't even think about hurting her, in anyway, because it will be the end of you", he said with a little devilish smile. "I know and I won't. I care about her a lot", I said looking down, "but I think she hates me now." "She doesn't, trust me. She is just upset for thinking to see you two kissing. But if it's true what you told me, just tell her", he said smiling. "Yeah, I will", I said standing up.

Anthony and I walked back to the kitchen where everyone was. We were all starving even tho it was really early in the morning. I told everyone what really happened between me and Mads. After that I went up to Aliyah's room and knocked on the door. There was no response and I guessed she was asleep or needed some space. I walked to my room and fell down on my bed. I hate myself for letting Mads get to me like that.

Flashback
"Jay, just talk to me", Mads said walking behind me. "No Mads, I don't need to talk to you", I said walking into the bathroom in the room we were just in. "Ali told me she think we fit better together", she said. I stopped walking and turned around. "What?", I asked frowning. "She thinks we are better together", she said again. "She would never say that", I said. "Well she just did", she said smirking and leaning on the counter. "Stop talking bullshit Mads, we're done", I said walking past her. "Jaden wait", she said grabbing my arm. I turn around and pull her arm off. "What?", I said again, a little more irritated. "Don't you miss me", she asked standing close to me. "No, I don't. I've moved on, okay?", I said wanting to walk away again. "I know you still love me", she said. I turned around and scoffed. "You cheated on me Mads, you broke my heart. And not forgetting that you almost messed up the friendship between me and Ali", I said frowning. "We can forget about that, babe", she said grabbing my hand. I pulled away and stepped back. "Maybe you can, but I can't", I said. Then she looked past me and I see a smirk form on her face. Before I knew she pulled my shirt and kissed me. I pushed her off the minute she touched my lips. "What the fuck?!", I said raising my voice. She lets out a little laugh and looked past me again. I turn around frowning and see Aliyah walking around the corner. I turn back around. "Fuck you, don't even talk to me again!", I yelled and walked out of the bathroom. I messed up big...

I shake my head and pushed myself off my bed. I grabbed my phone and blocked Mads on everything. I really wanted to talk to Aliyah, but I knew it won't work now. I took of my clothes and went under the covers. I look up at the ceiling and I felt cold. Cold because Aliyah wasn't next to me. I hope she believes me...

~ Aliyah's POV ~
I woke up with a little headache. Probably because of the drinking and the crying last night. I sigh and sat up in my bed. I grabbed my phone and say it was 9 am. Nobody was probably awake so I decided to take a shower and get breakfast for everyone. I tried my best to stay quiet and did everything I needed to do. I washed my hair and body and got out. I wiped the steam off the mirror and looked at myself. I grabbed my toothbrush and started to brush my teeth. I started to think about a few mornings ago when Jaden and I showered together. It would put a smile on my face before what happened last night. I know that I should hear him out, but I was just hurt and scared to hear it. Maybe they belong together. Maybe Jaden doesn't really like me. I spit out the toothpaste and walked back to my room with a towel around my body. I quickly put on some clothes and did my hair. I didn't bother to do my make-up. I grabbed my purse, keys and phone and walked downstairs. The house was still quiet. I texted the group chat saying I was getting breakfast and I left.

I got everyone their regular coffee and something to eat. It was a ton of food, not forgetting it was for ten people. I called Blake, since he was the only person who responded on my text. "Can you help me with the food?", I asked arriving at the gate. "Yeah, where are you now?", he asked. "I just opened the gate", I said waiting for the gate to fully open. "Okay, I'm coming", he said and hung up. I parked my car and Blake walked up to the car. "Good morning", he said. "Morning", I said giving him a little smile. "Feeling better?", he asked getting the coffees. I just shrugged grabbing the food. I locked my car and jointed his side. "Hear his side of the story, okay?", he asked walking into the front door. "Mhm", I said not really knowing what to say. "BREAKFAST EVERYONE!", Blake yelled making me jump. "Okay, now I'm deaf", I said chuckling. "Sorry", he said smiling. After a while everyone came down.

I gave everyone their coffee and food. "I didn't know what you wanted so I got you a Pink drink", I said handing Maya her drink. "That's actually my regular order", she said smiling. "Well, now I know", I said smiling back next to her. She went to sit next to Payton and he smiled at me. I shot him a smile and turned back to the drinks. As I turned I bumped into someone. Jaden. "Sorry", I said not making eye contact. He nodded and walked around me. I quickly grabbed my own drink and went to sit next to Addison and Anthony. I already ate my food on the way back, so I just look down at my drink and stir it. "Are you okay?", Anthony asked so only I could hear. "No", I whispered. "Just hear him out", he said. "Why is everyone saying that?", I asked looking up at him. I was a bit irritated and still upset. "Because you tend to cut people off when you're mad", he said chuckling. "I do not", I muttered looking down again. "If you say so, I love you tho", he said laughing. "Yeah, me too", I mumbled.

I wasn't paying any attention to what anyone was saying. My mind was just playing the image form last night over and over again. I feel a tap on my shoulder and see Jaden. "Wanna talk?", he asked. I nodded and stood up. I looked at Anthony and he raised his eyebrows. I smacked the back of his head and walked behind Jaden. We walked to his room and I sat on his bed. He closed the door and sat beside me. "I don't know what you sa-", Jaden started. "Jaden, I just- ... sorry, you can go", I said stopping myself. Anthony was right... He chuckled and continued. "I didn't kiss Mads", he stated. "But-", I started. "She kissed me. I pushed her away, but I guess you didn't see that", he said. I shook my head and looked down. "What happened?", I asked not making eye contact. "She wanted to talk, but I didn't want to. She said that you told her that me and her would be better together, which I didn't believe", he said. "I didn't say that", I said looking up and frowning. "I know", he said chuckling, "after that I wanted to walk away, but she pulled me back. I guess she saw you because her whole expression changed and then she kissed me." I bit my lower lip and looked down. I felt so stupid for thinking different right away. "I pushed her off and then I saw you walk away. I wanted to talk to you but you were already gone", he said.

It stayed silent for a minute, before I looked up again. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have thought that", I said. "It's fine, I would've too", he said shrugging, "are we good?" "Yeah?", I said not sure. "Yeah?", he said smirking and squinting his eyes. "Yes", I said smiling at him. "Good, now come here", he said pulling me in for a hug. I wrapped my arms around his torso and closed my eyes. "Anthony heard us", Jaden whispered. "What?", I asked pulling away with wide eyed. "He heard us the other day", he said chuckling. "Oh my god, no", I said covering my face. "It's fine tho, he is okay with whatever we are", he said smiling. "Really?", I asked looking up. "Yeah, surprised me too", he said. I smiled and hugged him again. "Can we please cuddle?", I asked pulling away. "I thought you would never ask", he said picking me up and laying me down. I giggled and started to blush. He laid on top of me and stared at me. "What?", I asked smiling. "You're cute", he said before kissing me. I couldn't stop smiling. I really like him... but I'm scared of how hard and fast I'm falling for him.
