Jackie POV

"Oh hey Bird" I said letting him in my hotel room, with Jr in my arms sound asleep.

"Wassup Jackie. How are you doing?" He asked shutting the door behind him, and I laid Jr in the bed before walking back in the living room and we sat on the couch.

"I'm okay.. One day at a time. You?" I asked him.

"I'm aight." He said sighing.

"How are things on your end? With your marriage?" I asked.

"I'm going through with the divorce.. I got to." He said.

"I feel that." I said sighing.

"I don't know no other option. You feel me?" He said.

"Yeah.. of course." I said.

"What about you?" He asked me.

"I'm leaning towards that direction now. I just feel like he doesn't take me serious anymore. It's not the same.." I said looking down.

"Pick yo chin up homie, I got chu" He said lifting up my chin, I smiled a little.

"I know you do." I said, he grabbed my hand placing a kiss on it.

"I know it hurts though. I'm sorry you going through this.." Bird said.

"Not your fault don't apologize." I said shrugging.

"Can I- Nevermind." He said laughing a little.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"I was gone ask for a kiss but I be forgetting what we talked about sometimes.." He said chuckling.

I smiled and leaned in giving him a kiss.

"You happy?" I said wrapping my arms around his neck.

"Very" He said with a smile.

"Good cause that's all I've ever wanted for you" I said.

"What you mean?" He said.

"Making you happy." I said, he looked at me for a second and said "You so different" Giving me another kiss.

I giggled a little giving him a hug.

"Alright but chill because Jr is sleep in the other room." I said chuckling and he nodded his head.

"My bad" He said.

My phone started ringing and it was Layla, my neighbor.

"Hold on" I said to Bird answering the phone.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hey Jackie I'm so sorry to bother you, are you home?" Layla asked.

"I'm not.. Is everything okay?" I asked.

"Well I heard a big thud in your house and sounded like some glass breaking so.. and I tried knocking and ringing the door bell and nobody came." She said.

"Oh gosh.. Okay I'll be on my way there thank you so much. Do you think you can watch Jr when I get there? Just for a few?" I asked.

"Of course!" She said.

"Thank you!" I said. "I'm on my way" I added.

"Alrighty" She said as we hung up the phone.

"I gotta go Bird. Something happened at the house" I said quickly getting up and running into the room picking Jr up, he woke up immediately.

"Is everything okay? You need me to come?" He asked.

"I'm sure it's Rodrick. So no, just go back to your room okay? I'll contact you when I'm done" I said.
