"Thank you Jackie!" A customer said as I handed her her bags.
"No problem! Have a good day" I said. I'm finally back working at my store after two months of giving birth.
Of course Rodrick thinks I should've took more time off but I gotta make this money. Time ain't waiting on me.
My front door opened and I seen Marcell, my brother walk in my shop.
"Oh hey!" I said, it's been a minute since I've seen him.
"Wassup sis" He said walking over to me and we hugged.
"You good? It's been a minute" I said.
"I know. I'm good, seen baby Myrical on your instagram. Looks just like you, thank goodness" He said and I peeped the shade he threw at Roddy and I sighed.
I don't know why all of the sudden there's beef but I'ma just ignore what he said.
"So what brings you by?" I asked.
"I can't come by and see wassup with my sis?" He asked.
"Mmm. Try again" I said and we both laughed.
"Well, I also heard that you renewed your vows and you're staying married to Roddy." He said.
"Yeah, so?" I said.
"Why?" He asked.
"Because I love him. And he loves me" I said.
"Love?" Marcell said.
"Yep." I said.
"You sure about that?" Marcell asked.
"I'm very sure. Don't start nothing Marcell, I'm not in the mood for this shit" I said.
"I ain't even doing nothing" He said.
"You started being weird that one time you came over and my husband heard everything you said about him and that's not coo. He fucked up but he's much better now. It's called a second chance" I said.
"Well you gave him bout 30 chances." Marcell said.
"Bye" I said slightly pushing him out of my way.
