They, Lea and Lora, met at the airport to bid goodbye to each other. This is it. She's going home and never wanted to go back. All the pain. All the heartaches. All the memories; good and bad. All of it would just be part of her past now, she thought to herself. She doesn't want to hear anything that reminds her of him. He's her greatest love turned to be her greatest nightmare.

Little did she know that Aga is just staring from afar. He's riding a cab when he saw Lora nearby the airport and his intinct pushed him to follow her.

There he saw the woman he loves. His feet itched to run and talk to her even for the last time but he's glued standing there. He wants to feel her warm hug against his body but it's useless now. He wants to sniff her hair and feel her lips against his but there's no more point for it. Maybe this is the last time he would ever see her again. Maybe this is it, he needs to let go of her. There's no point in holding on this one sided love.

Love and hate collide in his heart.

It's so hard when you hate someone you love dearly. Maybe it's better this way, he'd just love her from afar. He knows at this moment, at this probably last minute to stare at her, he lost her forever.

He turned and walked away with a heavy heart.

He found himself entering Lea's unit. The memories they shared flashed back to his mind.

I love you too, babes.

Her voice echoes into his mind but it got lost its meaning. Tears fell and his throat got blocked by words he's longing to say to her.

That last night they shared, that night they made love, was like a dream to him that when the daylight came she's gone.

She's forever gone.

She silently prays and hopes that their paths would never ever crossed again. The pain still exists and only time can tell when would it be completely gone but she believes time heals all wounds. She's now in the plane waiting to take off, stroking her temple as she feels dizzy and tired as well.

It's another exhausting day for him. Aga held a conference meeting for his father's business partners. It's the best way and sole choice he can think of. It's tormenting to face the firm's situation with emptiness. Releasing words of comfort to the employees after the conference meeting is also a torture when he couldn't even comfort himself. Life goes on even now she's no longer around. He loathed her for leaving just like that. There's so much that he wants to say but a part of him says it's useless now. It won't change the fact that she might have used him and there's no really love exists from her to him.

He recalls the day he asked her.

Lei, I need your answer now! Do you love me?

And her 'no' plays in repeat on his mind. He regrets believing that her every kiss, each touch and caress have meaning.

The cold breeze of air kissed her skin as she enters the cab. She finally arrived. Finally, she's back to the place where she belongs. The place where she's far from heartaches, far from the person who broke her. There's a sting in her heart when his image set in her mind. Hate is there but she can't fool herself that there's a missing piece in her heart. A piece that only time can tell when would she ever find it again. A piece that she knows someone holds it somewhere. She hopes for the time to come when wounds have healed, tears have dried and mistakes have forgiven.

And if that can't be found in this present life then maybe, just maybe, in another life they'd find each other's missing piece again.

It's been a long flight and she wants to see her mom. She misses her so much and her cooking. Her mom didn't know the truth what she came for in the Philippines but it doesn't matter now. The justice is served so she's back on track.

She arrived at her mom's house where she found her preparing dishes, her favorite ones.

"Oh, pakiligpit na to Inday. Naku! Alam mo naman si ma'am Lea mo ayaw na ayaw non ng makalat" her mommy Joy instructed the housemaid.

She wrapped her arms around her mom's waist and hugged her tightly. "I'm home, Ma"

Mommy Joy turned to see Lea on her beautiful smile. She pulled her for a warmth hug. It's been months since she last saw her daughter and the bliss in her eyes upon seeing Lea again is palpable. They talked a lot over dinner. Lea talked about the new people she met excluding Aga. She nixed herself from thinking about him any longer as it's the easiest way for her to get over him.

She spent the night at her mom's house.

Midnight comes but her mind remains somewhere. She's at her balcony, gazing at the stars with the moon shines at the sky. His image flashed back to her mind and she's back again from the memories of him. Their date night crept into her mind. She sipped long her red wine.

She came back to the real world through a slow tap at her back. It's her mom.

"Lalim ng iniisip ah. Care to share?" her mom asked.

"I'm fine, Ma. 'Di lang makatulog" she flashed a reassuring smile to deceive her mom from the pain she's hiding.

But mothers, indeed, know their children more than anyone else in this world.

"Si Aga ba?"

Her eyes shifted quickly to her mom.

What.The.Fuck

She stuttered. "How ... Ma? How d-did you"

She touched Lea's hand to squeeze it. "Anak, I know everything. Lora kept updating me while you're in the Philippines"

She throws a questioning look at her mom. Joy explained to Lea that she asked Lora to keep her up to date about Lea. Since the day she set foot in the Philippines 'til her last day there, Joy knows everything. Lea just shook her head to the thought that Lora and her mom are, indeed, bestfriends.

"You love him?" her mom smiled at her amiably.

There's a sadness in her eyes. "He hurt me, Ma. He used me and ... ewan. I just want to forget it" she sighed.

"You sure?"

"Ma, of course. It came from his own father's foul mouth"

"Yun na nga, nak. It came from his father not him. I'm not taking sides ha pero you should've talked to him atleast"

"Ma naman. You sound like Lora na ha. She said the same thing"

"Nak, peace of mind lang naman yung sa akin pero you're an adult now. Alam ko you know what you're doing so if you think he's capable of hurting you then maybe it's just right that you didn't give him the benefit of the doubt"

She didn't protest but a part of her agrees with her mom. It haunt her and didn't leave her mind 'til morning comes. Maybe her mom is right or maybe not but it has no more point. She's home now, back to her real world.

She got stucked in the road brought by a traffic when her eyes shifted to a nearby salon. There's an urge in her to change look for good. She parked her car and stepped out.

"Good morning. What would you want me to do with your hair?" the lady asked as she seated.

She paused for a sec, stared at her figure in the mirror.

"Bob cut" she simply replied.

After awhile, she headed to her firm. Her heels click the floor as she walks. All frightened eyes at her as she paced her direction to her office. Her busy schedule is laid down on her table and a pile of documents awaits for her attention. She sits on her white swivel chair.

Life goes on for her amidst the damaged heart she has.
