A Case of Love (COMPLETED)

Chapter VIII

He is on his way back to the firm. It's a cloudy noon and seems like anytime it might rain. The traffic jam is making his stomach to growl more. A heavy rain welcomes him when he arrived at the firm's parking lot. He's left with no other option but to run as fast as he could. The rain soaked through his suit upon entering the firm.

What an adversity!

He entered his office and took off his clothes. Luckily, he has extra clothes to wear - a plain gray shirt and jeans. Instead of going to the cafeteria for a late lunch, he ordered online and went to the pantry for a cup of coffee. He's sipping coffee on his way back when his eyes instantly captured the woman through the door ajar while taking off her office blazer. It's still raining heavily outside, that's probably why she's soaked through. Her bust is apparent enough for him to gulp even if she's still on her inner blouse. She opened the first button of her blouse when she noticed him.

"What the...!" she quickly covers herself with her extra blouse placed on her table and walks toward him. "Binubosohan mo ba ako!?"

He smirked, "Be careful with your accusation, attorney"

"For your information, ATTORNEY, it's not an accusation. I saw you with my own two eyes looking at me while taking off my .... I will sue you!" her face turned reddish.

He chuckled, "sue me? What case?"

"Unjust vexation!"

"Hahahaha first of all, your door was ajar, OBVIOUSLY. Matalino ka diba? So, you know that someone might see you taking off your clothes"

"So, you're telling me that it's my intention na mabosohan!?"

Her friend Lora saw them.

"Ahm, attorneys? What's wrong?"

Lea crossed her arms, "well, this Atty. Martinez peeped at my office while I was changing my clothes"

"Excuse me. I did not, you were doing a live show"

"Ang kapal mo!"

Lora butted in because she knew Lea will not hesitate to land her fist on his face, "hep hep hep. Lei, baka naman kase hindi talaga sinadya ni attorney na makita kang nagbibihis. Eh bakit naman kase bukas yung pinto mo?"

"I don't know! I didn't notice my door is slightly open until I noticed this ATTY. MARTINEZ" she gave him a stern look.

"Relax, okay? Relax. Ganito na lang, Atty. Martinez you should apologize. Even if you did not intentionally do it, still, you saw her"

He crossed arms, " I did not see anything underneath her" he gave her a head-to-toe look "... alam mo na. Why should I apologize?"

Lea's brow raised, "Dude, a lawyer is not a liar but YOU? You are obviously an exemption! This man is really getting into my nerves. This won't bring us any further, let's see each other in court!"

"Fine with me"

Lora scratched her head, "Lei, it's ... it's just a small thing. Wag na natin palakihin pa. Pag usapan niyo na lang, para naman tayong hindi mga abogado nito eh"

"Anong small thing? He should learn his lesson"

"Hahaha teacher ka na pala ngayon. Alam mo I don't care if you sue me but I couldn't agree more with Lora. Okay, para matapos na. I'm sorry. I apologize. Please know that it's not my intention to watch you in that situation. It was just....an accident"

"Accident your face! I will still sue you"

"Okay, sue me. But we both know that it's a waste of time"
