Right after dealing with the firm's situation, he went straight his office to deal with his woman. It may be sound possessive to ward her but he has no care at all. And if his position is the sole chance he has to take her away from Raven, he'd firmly hold onto it. He'd take that little chance exists just to get near her. Just to have her. Just to be on the same road with her. Even if he knows the uncertainty it entails, he'd willingly dive into whatever risk there is. A knock on his door blooms that excitement to see her again. He anticipates her presence due to that issued NTE against her.

"Come in" he modulate his voice to conceal that oozing excitement in him. His eyes glued to the door as it slowly swung open. But Mr. Cupid must have been fooling around that his excitement turned to disappointment. His blissfully pounding heart breaks into bits.

"Attorney, excuse me po. May bisita po kayo" it's his paralegal.

If he could only shut the door right in front of whoever that visitor is but he regain his composure. This day won't end without Lea's presence on his arms and of that he's sure. "Who is it?"

His paralegal moves a bit to the side to give the visitor a space. A beautiful woman at his age strolled to his office. She's wearing a maroon fitted dress that traced her body curve. Her long wavy hair in ash brown adds attractiveness to her pretty face.

It's Atty. Carla Melendez.

The woman whom Raven courted back then but she ended up falling in love with Aga. She's the reason behind Aga and Raven's bad terms in years. It's been three years since she last visited the firm.

"Hi, Atty. Martinez" she sweetly smiled.

"Atty. Melendez? H-hey" he walked towards her and gave a peck on her cheek.

His paralegal gave them a privacy to talk.

"Maupo ka. How are you? You've become ... prettier"

"Thank you"

"Have a seat. Bakit ka nga pala naparito?"

She takes the couch fronting Aga. "Uhm ... kase ... I am filing for annulment. Since you have the best lawyers in different fields, I presumed you can recommend someone"

"You are what? Filing for annulment? But why? I thought you are happily married"

"At first I was but things changed. He cheated on me. Nagsawa na siguro" she smiled. Fictitious smile.

"S-sorry to hear that. Uhm. This is a wrong timing. Actually, we filed for bankruptcy to shut down our other branches. Hindi ko nga alam kung kaya pa bang isalba tong firm na to" sadness is evident to his eyes.

Carla stared at him in disbelief. "What? Seriously? But ... how? I mean ... this firm is the best in the region. What happened?"

"It's a long story. Don't worry para naman hindi masayang yung pagpunta mo dito I'll recommend you to other lawyers I know. Do you have kids now?"

"Unfortunately, wala pa eh. Mas mabuti na din siguro yun atleast walang batang madadamay sa failed marriage namin ng asawa ko. Ikaw? Kumusta? Long time no see"

"Eto. Subsob parin sa trabaho. Unmarried. No kids."

"Ikaw kase eh. Kung sana niligawan mo ko non"

He chuckled. "It's been years Atty. Melendez. Let's move on"

"I'm serious. Ikaw eh" she crossed her legs and placed her fist on the temple. She's undeniably pretty .... very attractive that Raven fell for it deeply.
