Camila

Camila struggled to accept the rejection she had been subject to only a few days previous, she had always dreamt of the bigger better life that she could create for herself, she'd work ridiculous hours for minimal pay that barely fed her mom and sister past the point of nutritional wellness, her mind remained fixed in a constant state of self doubt, she had beaten herself up over the fact that she simply 'wasn't enough' and it was showing more and more as the days went by

"Mila... you really need to move on from this? There will be so many more opportunities!"

Zach made multiple attempts to comfort and consolidate the small brown haired girl but she remained compulsively cleaning the coffee countertops with an old rag

"I don't want to move on Zach! I've wanted this for so long!"

Camila put the rag down and ran her fingers across the top of her messy bun lightly playing with the stray strands of hair as she stared deeply into the floor, Zach prised himself from his chair in the corner of the room to grab lightly hold of the girls petite shoulders using his thumbs to trace small circles

"Then do something about it Camila! So she said no? Go back in there and make her say yes..."

Her eyes were glazed with just a hint of optimism as she thought back to the night she had sat with Lauren, she'd be lying if she said she hadn't thought about her A LOT, the night she had got home her mind was fixated on the image of her emerald green eyes and perfectly contoured body, the power that she had without even trying, she was extremely intimidating but for some reason it only enticed her more

"Yeah and how do I do that huh? She's literally scary, I almost threw up in my mouth when she looked at me"

"Listen, I'm not going to try and convince you on anything but if you really wanted it that bad... you'd man up and fight for it!"

She did really want it! But what would she even say? Her skill set was obviously not up to par with what the woman required nor the company, this was exactly the thing that Camila had always preached about, the fact that small world people will never get the same chances as silver spoons and even if they possess perfect qualities they'll never be given a second look without a Rolex on their wrist

Camila continued her shift before heading home at around 4:30 pondering on the possibility of going back to Jauregui Enterprise, it took a lot of talking herself up and a large shot of Spanish brew alcohol to finally convince herself to go, she stood glaring at herself in the mirror, her hair still up in the same messy bun and her winged liner sitting perfectly drawn above her eyes

She grabbed for a short black skirt and a cute white T-shirt that she threw quickly over her head before Tying up the lace on her black heels, she thought that maybe if she 'dolled herself up' it would make at least some kind of a difference but she knew deep down that it was probably a long shot

______

"You sure you're ready?"

Camila nod confidently as she issued a small but loving smile in Zach's direction, the drive mainly consisted of Camila trying to peace together what she was going to say when and if she actually got back inside of Lauren's office, it seemed pointless in retrospect but the idea of fighting for what you want regardless of weather you are 'good enough' to take it is something that should be encouraged universally
